No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries in December

  • I have sinned, again!

I'm reporting these as INs although I debated against it. Picked up two hand wash and lotion sets to make the bathrooms all prettified. One Sanctuary Luxury set and one Champneys Citrus Blush set, a bottle of hand wash and lotion in each set.

Last year I spent around £150 in the boxing day sales, and am still working my way through that stash. I looked and looked but nothing really appealed, besides those two items for the house. I don't know about anyone else, but I"m not hugely impressed with the sales this year.

In an effort to balance the sheet a little before the end of the month, but not particularly MSE, I TA one bottle of Pantene Whipped Wax. It's supposed to be a light product but looks like wet look gel whenever I've used it, and I don't remember using it in our last flat, which means it's sat there for 2 years without being touched - buh bye! The second TA not so great, a bottle of Nails Inc Elizabeth St, hardly used but went streaky on my nails. Again it's probably been in there for a good three years so hardly surprising it had separated.

Have had a PYN Boxing Day in an attempt to cheer self before returning to work tomorrow; painted all over nail with an Orly sheer pink/nude and then painted the tips in Nails Inc Wardour Mews - a purple/pink based colour with dense gold shimmer. A reverse french polish which doesn't look too bad if I say so myself!

Hope everyone is having a lovely relaxing time off, and no one has to go back to work tomorrow as I sadly do :(

Does anyone here think the same as me? That nails inc sucks? It always chips really really fast. I like a lot of their colours but am reluctant to buy

My HG nail polish is essie!

IMHO as far as different brands of NP go it is very much a case of "one man's meat is another man's poisen" for every person who raves over a brand there is another who hates it. I am unashamedly a nail polishaholic with nearing one for every day of the year, and find they also vary within a brand, formulas are not always consistent. I have a couple of lovely Essie ones and also a few that are a streaky nightmare.

I think the brush also makes a difference. If you find the brush shape hard to work with or it just doesn't suit your nail shape you are going to struggle with that polish.

Hi everyone, hope you've all been thoroughly spoilt. I know I have! My favourite non-toiletries gifts were a copy of my fave film on DVD signed by the director - my DH is so thoughtful <3. And my auntie got me some lovely earmuffs with earphones integrated which will be perfect for my daily walk to work :D

No posh make-up though and I'm desperate for a new mascara, may need to hit the sales or get swapping on the facebook group to be more :money:

  • Wow .some great ins for everyone. VALM I have stash envy over your Elemis haul. I got a clarisonic for xmas plus a BM set - using DDs tablet so will post full haul when back on pc but overall not too many items added to the stash.

I am back at work tomorrow and work across the road from a John Lewis so will nip over at lunchtime. It is quite small so my expectations are not high. Otherwise will try and resist the sales so I don't have lots of ins.

Have a couple of splutterers so hope to have a few more outs before the end of the month.
  • Only a Body Shop shower gel and lotion received as presents. Satsuma one of my favourites..

UU: Wella Colour Protect conditioner a 355ml size

Olay ultra moisture shower gel, some orchid combo. Have the matching lotion. I think I'm taking it into work to leave by the sink. The scent isn't strong. After I've used up the stash of Olay body wash, I'm never buying another one. I just think they leave a scummy feeling on my skin

I've decidide that this year, if I don't like a product and one of the boy's gf's don't want it, it's going into the "please take me and try me out" baskets in the staff room.
