  • Morning all.

Well this week hasn't been very OS and I've got nothing done fast.

We went to the local town last night to see the Xmas lights being switched on.my goodness, it was cold. Tried not to spend too much money. Gridlock to get out of the carpark. We got out after 20 mins and some aggressive driving by me. Noone would let me reverse out of my space, so I'm afraid I had to push my way in. Got chips on the way home. See, not OS this week. :o

Taking my eldest to London tomorrow. She has £60 and wants to go to Hamleys.

I need to get my behind into great soon. But may as well wait till after I've picked up the toddler from nursery as have to leave in 10 mins.

Any tips on potty training. I've tried everything and he Will Not. He will be 4 in April. He is behind in his speech (seeing a speech therapist next week) and is still quite baby like. I'm not sure if he's behind in general tbh.

Lots of love hugs and spoons to all

    Hi all

I was in two minds about posting today; my instinct is to disappear into Lurkdom til I'm in a better place, so that I don't drag the thread down; but on the other hand, the Daily and Flylady threads are my only source of social contact. All I will say then, is if you guys feel I'm being a pain, tell me, and I'll lurk for a bit.:o

Betheebee I hope the wedding goes well; and that the Bride and Groom have all the happiness in the world, for however long they have together.:happylove

Bitsy how's Loony-tunes tummy today? Tell her Auntie Wolfy says stop eating rubbish, you silly girl!:naughty:

What with her, and poor little Jack, I'm doing lots of well-doggy-tummy vibes these days!:o

Talking of dogs, I can't recall if I mentioned yesterday, but I had an email confirming a visit from 23rd to 28th December of an elderly Westie named Sammy;:T so the holiday period will at least be bearable.:o

Stay warm and safe everyone; it's perishin' out there – Mr LW said the shed thermometer read minus two this morning.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

Forgot to say Welcome to Malteser this morning, because DH was rushing me out of the door :santa2: what the hell it is December tomorrow :D

Aaargh got home and one of the parcels had been delivered, luckily our postie knows that we leave the porch door unlocked if we are expecting a parcel.

Got the potatoes 4 pounds for £1, sprouts on a stick for £1.20, I have prepared and put the sprouts in the freezer and will do some potatoes as well. DH spotted some chestnuts and we got a pound for £1 he is a very happy chappie. I went round to our co-op which is closing today, the new store doesn't open until Monday. I am not happy that they have decided to put their ATM outside, so that means that if I need to get money out I will have to go into the BS or Bank, better that than get scammed. I digress........... I managed to get a dozen free range eggs for 76p, 4 loaves Hovis for 35p each, 4 fresh orange juice for 46p, a big lump of cheese for 50p, lemons and oranges 10p each, 2 Genoa cakes for 50p, 2 large pots of greek yoghurt for 29p ea and 2 double cream for 29p ea very happy with that.
Popped into Wilkinsons and got a few stocking fillers and when the last parcel comes from Amazon I can sit back and relax, knowing that all I have left to get is fresh stuff :j
    Dinner tonight is Mushroom Risotto

    Afternoon all

All booked for the return trip now, just two long days, overnight at Bordeaux Le Lac, crossing via tunnel and then late arrival at Days Inn (dog friendly) at Maidstone before going on the DS's on Thursday morning, not sure how we will get to North London via the traffic, think if we leave it until 10 am and trust TomTom we may be OK, any locals with any tips are welcome.

LW & Beemused, stay around please.

:hello: all newbies, welcome to you, if you like us as we are a caring friendly bunch, then please pull up a chair and join in. If you want to change us then sorry we like it as we are. (see the Annoyed thread). I am being very good and not posting on it, they may not like my post!

Had almost a NSD today, just had to swop a gas cylinder as we know prices always go up here 1st Jan, so swopping it before we go home (16.35€ here, £24+ for same at home!!), and DH had an haircut 5€. Though we will spoilt it totally later as are going off to friends and are eating out. :o:o One of our neighbours here has just called and offered to have Skye while we are out' She has been adopted by everyone over here, they have treats for her, and spoil her rotten. We do leave her for some time, but as we have a three quarters of an hours drive each way, and then going out, we were going to take her with us and leave her at their house, but this is easier.

Bedding in WM (since Weds) forgot to switch it on again this morning, will have to wait until Sunday now as a little light rain is forecast for tomorrow. :D:D

Mini Mount Ironmore awaiting me, but not today.

Better go and get organised shortly.

    Take care all. DG

    Afternoon All

    Happy St Andrew's Day.

    Welcome to the Newbies.
LW & Beemuzed - Stay with us, I very rarely have anything of interest to say but say it anyway!

School super busy this week so glad it's Friday. My last shift at my evening job tonight for the season, they have me on the rota for tomorrow too but that's December and my contract clearly states I finish on 30 November!

Met up with friends yesterday afternoon and we went to Glasgow for some shopping, a meal and free drink and nibbles at most of the shops in the centre we were in - had a jolly good laugh and catch up.

Not much OS today, put the washing on the airers, the house is cold but the fire is on and it will warm up eventually! It hasn't been above freezing here for about 3 days. The days have been glorious though so not complaining.

Hope you all have a good weekend, take care. XX

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
