Morning All
Happy St Andrews day to all our friendly neighbourhood Scots
Woke up to everything white with frost.
DH had raised the heating when he got up so they house is lovely and warm.
We are going to the Friday market to pick up some fruit and veg and we need a couple of bits in Farmfoods. Can't go tomorrow because I am expecting some parcels from Amazon according to their tracker.
I must write and post some cards today as well.
Keep warm everyone

Morning all:j:j
Very cold here this morning, We have had a hard frost over night.
Iv been out the back this morning to break the Ice In the chickens water.
Friday already! So week for me. Iv not really done or been anywhere.Apart from yesterday.
I had an appointment to have a CT scan. They were only scanning my skull so they were only scan in my skull so they can make a plate to fit. It takes about 3-4 weeks to make the plate. From what I have been told.
I have spoken to the hospital last week. They did tell me that it wont the this side of the new year that will have me In. So its looking to be at the start of 2013, I'm hoping that it will be In the January. I don't really wont it dragging on into February, But with Hospitals you never really know!
Not much going on here. My Wife has been buying things each week for Christmas. I think we might be just over half way to being all set up for it.
Only a day left and we will be at the start of Advent.:eek:and counting down the day's
Iv not read the thread for a couple of days so I hope all are ok.
I kept up to date with Lou's little lad and his trip to Hospital on facebook. I'm glad that he's back home now.
Well I hope that you all have a great day
Enjoy yourself s:j:j:jYou can have everything you wont in lfe, If you only help enough other people to get what they wont.:j0 -
Morning all,
Our cheese and wine doo on Tuesday was a success, my hm food went down well. Y/day I made a chicken pie with leftovers from a roast. Tonight we have steak, pots and salad.
Had DGD3, 13mths, y/day so DD2 could go for Vortex healing, first time she's tried it. She was into everything so kept me on my toes. DGD not DD ha.
Managed to do more xmas wrapping last night.
Must get some ironing done today and pop to Mr T's for a click and collect, I bought DD1 a Salter electric salt & pepper mill for crimble, she fell in love with mine.
I have to pack a w/end bag for me and DH as we are going to a wedding in Paignton tomorrow. It's going to be a very emotional day as the groom has terminal 'C' and has been given only months, he will be having Chemo in 2 wks time as he was told the treatment may prelong his life by another 6mths. The bride was my late Brother's wife. Hopefully the family will make it a happy day for them. Everyone is giving them money instead of pressies so that they can have a honeymoon before the treatment starts. So, so sad.
Off to put the wm and bm on and read through last couple of days posts.
((Hugs)) to poorlies, worried /stressed.
BEMUZZED, Come back ! tis an order
Don't know how that blue faced wink got on the top of my post !!0 -
Morning, cold again over here to.
This is the day I work in a charity shop till lunchtime so I'd better go!
I might make some pastry for mince pies after my dog walk this afternoon.
Btw I'm not allowed to come home having bagged all the bargains! There are procedures in place to make sure that does not happen.
If I see something I like I will have to wait and return another day to buy it. It's only fair, if a tad frustrating at times!Norn Iron Club member 4730 -
Morning everyone,
Got the drs this morning. Throat and chest are on fire so I need some antibiotics l. Ever since I was born at 24 weeks if I get even a cold it turns into a infection. But its the least of the issues with my health ATM.
Os wise. Think I'm going to get the oh help to sort the last 8 years of paperwork. Another 200 pages are different hospital appointments over the years.
Winter is definitely here. How is everybody doing? Hugs and stay safe everyone xx0 -
Morning all, frosty with blue skies here. BEAUTIFUL, but a little nervous about driving in it! Ice all over the place.
Meant to go to gym today, but was so exhausted stayed in bed instead! Not sure if this was laziness or sensible 'pacing myself' bfore a weekend to be spent helping OH's daughter move! Any way feel a lot better for it.
Today I need to wrap a few more presents, pack for weekend away and then have lunch with a dear friend I haven't seen for months. Her son has autism too and is just one month older than mine. They went to nursery school together and his mum and I formed a deep connection. We have supported each other through 'he system' with our sons, divorce for both of us, remarriage for her and a relationship for me, bereavement for both of us and despite all that we usually end up laughing like drains the whole time we are together. I am so blessed to have such wonderful friends.
Then it's off to OH's this afternoon and on to Leicester to act as removal men tomorrow.
Have a good time all and welcome to newbies and returners.'Do not follow where the path may lead. Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail. Only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go.' T S Eliot0 -
Good morning everyone
Gosh it's another chilly one today and I don't think it's going to get much above freezing all day.
Am looking forward to filling GDD's advent calendar tonight. She has a refillable Scandinavian felt one with 24 little pockets so we buy a variety of tiny treats, some chocolate, some little toys or toiletries. I think the whole thing costs less than a Cadburys one and she loves it.
More pulled pork for dinner, tonight with pasta and tomato sauce. HM lentil soup for lunch. Shopping tomorrow for batch cooking meats for the weekend and topping up the freezer, then baking mince pies and apple/spicy fruit tarts. We need to take GDD for new dance shoes and paint for her bedroom tomorrow too. No idea what we are doing on Sunday yet but I think it will involve some cleaning, some decluttering and yet another a trip to Oxfam, who now know us very well.
Well wishes to all sick people and pets and hugs for those who need or just want them. Have a super dayLBM 10/1/12 ~ DFW Start 6/2/12: £82,344 ~ Now Zero:staradmin:starmod::staradmin Debt free 17th April 2015 :staradmin:starmod::staradmin

Morning all,
Wow hasnt the temperature dropped? Minus 2 here in the West Midlands and covered in frost. The best thing about this weather is that its a doddle cleaning up after the dogs.I wont elaborate for obvious reasons.:rotfl:
I'm half way through my Friday chores. Ive just sorted out hubbys thermals for work next week and i thought i'd have a rest as I've got all day. Son isnt back till 6. Hubby will be back at 8 which gives me all day to do what needs to be done.
Think i'll go and have a bath.
Have a good day all, a warm one preferably. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Hi Everyone - thanks for encouragement to stay ( see, I am reading!) - just felt that as I'm clearly not getting so much OS done atm, my posts would be a wee bit boring to say the least!
However, I shall be around from time to time!
DH sees the oncologist this afternoon so we have to take the diary with the temps and other bits and pieces with us. Round two begins on Tuesday. At least by New Year we should just about be in single figures for remaining sessions!
Hope we're back in time for me to get to choir practice as it's Advent Sunday and I really love that service!
Anyhow, my love to you all - hope those not well recover quickly and that you all stay warm! Take care!Resolution:

Off to go in loft and get the advent calendar down for kids. It's wooden one which I fill with Aldi chocolate :money:
Not sure what OS I shall be doing. Friend coming for coffee, fancy making some mini cheese and onion tarts and I have loads of washing to catch up on.
Better get cracking. Have a good day all
Hugs and spoons all round xxx
