Wow wow wow wow wowzers!!! Gosh that's a great figure. What was so special about it, if you don't mind me asking? lolHi All
I've been potting bits and pieces, but felt soooo well the last few days that I've been out and about and not logging onto the internet so frequently - hence my absence.
Considering counting up and banking the first pot which is full and adding the amount to my signature.....but it wont happen for a few weeks. Second cycle of chemo is due to start Monday if the doc says I'm well enough.....so anticipating a week glued to the sofa with zero energy for anything. At least I know it will pass. Oh and I am officially a baldy now......quite liberating and not to mention very cooling in this hot weather and I'm getting a dab hand with a head scarf. Wig has been ordered but I'm still not convinced I'll use it much!!!
Have a great weekend everyone and I'll catch up next week.
I'm glad you're doing better. I love reading you positive spin on your hair-loss. You are a very special lady missyEvening all
Ive been awol for a good few months but still potting as much as possible.
I counted up my pot last night and banked it this morning....£400!!!
That's double my first target so incredibly happy :j
We are going on our first holiday next Saturday. Its not turned out quite as planned as its going to be just me and the 3 children (hubby is gone for good) but its a challenge Im really looking forward to
Hugs to everyone that needs or wants one

Fantastic total so far Beccah. Sorry to hear about your partner but it really is his loss. You have a fantastic time with your kids without a grumpy man spoiling it xx

It's daddys Birthday tomorrow and one of my sisters Thursday and one of my nieces Friday.....so if i have any pennies left i shall pot them lol.Sealed Pot Challenge member #071 VSP #4

Hi everyone, I hope everyone's okay. How is Nell doing?
I haven't been here for a couple of months now, my life has just gone crazily busy. My cousin came over from Spain and stayed with us for a week, then we went on holiday to Dorset, work has been really busy and stressful and I've been doing a course to further myself and I've signed up to study law with the OU in October and have been starting to do some reading in an effort to prepare myself. I went to a hen party the other night, I'm planning surprises for my Mum's 40th birthday in just under a week's time and I'm going to watch Man Utd v. Wigan on Sunday. It's weird how I can go for months with nothing in particular going on and everything has just happened all of a sudden!
With the expense of different things, I've been very naughty on the potting front (sorry Sue!)At least the football game isn't leaving me out of pocket too much though, as I won the tickets comping on MSE
Oh, I've also decided that I'm going to try to take a "if I want something, I'm going to make it happen!" approach to life as it seems to work for others I know. As such, I've decided we are going to try really hard to have the wedding we want in just under two years time, and the less money we get saved the more basic it'll be - but I don't mind, just as long as we're married. We've been engaged almost 3 years and silly as it is I've become quite impatient and got a bit of a bee in my bonnet about it!
Anyway, today I am potting £2.40 of shrapnel that has accumulated in my purse.SPC '21 #0750 -
Hi All,
Well little miracles do happen and my body managed to get its white and red blood cell count up enough all on its own and without injections so second cycle of chemo went in this morning. Home....and glued to the sofa
Potted a £1, but expecting some NSD for the rest of the week.
Am off to put a dvd on Michael Caine as Sherlock Holmes!!! I'm promised its a good film so gonna give it a whirl.
Thankyou for all the lovely messages and big hugs to all those that need them. xSPC No:118:j (6) £468.74 (7)

Afternoon all, a few woes - wishes to all.
Some great potting going on of late. I've not potted that much due to being frugal, but will need a few things later in the week and a meal out on Saturday.
Potted £3.90 today though.
£458+ potted so far.
nell36 - nice to hear you are positive (as normal). Take care.

Modesty, I hope you enjoyed the 'do' and your Ruby Wedding Anniversary too!T & I are 1 & a bit ahead of you, loving it too, though we haven't a clue what happened to all the years in between either. Not to worry...we still have the LOVE!! :kisses3:
Well done, Emily and Lynsey!
YOU are doing sooo very well now, Ruth!! So sorry to hear about your treasured dog dying, but hadn't he done well!! Your Squash sounds quite a character, another SPCer! :j
Excellent savings, suvla! I take it it's included in the £378 on your siggy - right?
Oooooh no, themstarrynights, the idea is to leave it in the POT.
You, out of debt at last, can be forgiven for using your SPC money being as you moved, good to hear you're right back in again though.EchoDelta wrote:£1.70 today, few odds and ends potted along the way too but nothing very spectacular, must do better!
Eh, come on, EchoDelta, that's still doing very well so don't belittle your savings. If you CAN do better then go ahead, but all savings is GOOD!Happybeingme wrote:Nothing else potted since Weds but at least I haven't spent either! Might just be my weekly £5 going in the pot when I've been paid as I can't afford to take the children out while they are on school hols so I'm planning to just leave the money in the bank. Anyone got any ideas of things we can do that are very cheap/free while they're on holiday? DS1 can take care of himself as he's 18 and he's out at voluntary work a lot anyway but its DD1 (14) and DS2 (9) I'm concerned about ~ definitely don't want them playing on their computer games for 6 weeks!
Re ideas for saving, Happybeingme, now the kiddies are home, keep scanning around kiddies playgrounds etc as they just don't seem to like keeping it. Take your youngsters for some nice walks, with a picnic along the way, it'll give them some lovely memories and they'll always remember the 'time' you gave them......and time is the greatest gift possible! How about playing games, card games or any games and have fun that way. Holidays do not have to cost dearly!
Very well saved and banked, Saver88!! :T
Just noticed you & J are away on holiday, sparky, have a wonderful time and a safe journey home. You'll get a lovely break from the neighbours!! :j
Always keep an eye on the pennies, MiMi66, and be proud of all you save.
Hiya ladsmadd, good to see you. By golly you were sooo kind to your Sis, I hope she's able to pay you back relatively quickly.
I know you're probably on your way, ToniLiz, but have a lovely time - and keep up the rummaging!
Good to see you, Rosy, and have fun with those kitties.
Take care of that arm, Lost.Yorkshire_Pudding wrote:Not been on for a while, I am suffering with tortocollis and its awful :-( So as a result I have not been out much lately so hav'nt had much change to pot!
Oh dear, Yorkshire_Pudding, I'm sorry to hear about your condition, I've just looked it up briefly and it sounds painful. Will it last long?
All the best, charleybear, any and all bits count.
Lovely to hear Jake & Lilly enjoyed their week away, jakes-mum. GOOD on you, Jake, with the £3 saved!!
Sincere condolences to you, wiggysgirl, on the sad loss of your dear Mum, I lost mine the same way. I don't blame you at all for using your cash. It sounds as though you have some wonderful memories to hang onto, your Dad to look after too.
Lovely to see you, little_sweetie! As I sat here playing catch-up I thought you'd got lost or gone on holiday, glad the former isn't so. :A
Good to see you, LC 2! So sorry I was never able to put your message on, but I've been rough.
Well done on your BF, Pins.
Have a wonderful time, mumof3plusoh, safe journeys also.
Great saving, Kerry, and thanks so much for putting in on your siggy.
Hello there, Nell!! It's been good to see your posts and see you're not doing too badly. Every best wish for the next lot of chemo, rest up and keep as well as is possible.
Brilliant savings, beccah!!!! You've done wonderfully, though sorry to hear about the break-up. Now, have a really lovely holiday and enjoy yourself with the kiddies!
Naughty naughty, dinglefoot, I can see the reasons though so you're forgiven, for now!Have a wonderful Tuesday, everyone. Keep saving well.
Sue x
