Late I'm afraid, but a very busy few days with tennis, gardening and enjoying the glorious weather. :grinheart

No wonder you've found saving hard, Happybeingme, 18th Birthdays and all they entail are extremely costly. ATB from here on.

Aww thanks Sue and Nell. Potted 50p today and am inspired with your lovely comments. Will try my best to pot as often as poss. All kids are great thanks Sue. Busy weekend next weekend with Athletics with DS all the way to Hull for comp on Sat but our club on Sun. Seem to spend my life at Athletics fields but starting to officiate now so the day goes very quickly.
Hope everyone is enjoying the tennis. COME ON MURRAY!:j

It's really good to see you back with us, mumof3plusoh, I've miss you and wondered if all was well. Good to hear it is and that the kids are doing fine. I hope DS did well with his athletics. So, you're now officiating, good for you and well done with the plant sales too! Very MSE. Wasn't the tennis amazing? Well done Murray!!! :T Though my favourite was the Del Potro v Djokovik one - brilliant!!!!

A shame about the carpet cash, jakes-mum, but I doubt it'll take you long to save up the shortfall. Though red with orange.....:(

Bad luck with the meal pay up, Untouchable, but it could have been far worse. ;)

Lynsey, you're totally obsessed with your pot and saving - absolutely fantastic!!! :j

That's not being rubbish, EchoDelta, you're saving and that's what matters, but when you're able to step it up then do so and be proud. :A

Lovely to see you dropping by, ChristmasCarol , it's always nice to know members are doing well. I'm delighted you're so happy with us here, best wishes with the £300!
First £2 of the week potted ~ I'm so determined to get back into saving!

Well done, Happybeingme, that's the spirit!

So long as you're ok, Donna, then that £30 will do you more good than the oesteopath. :D

That's great saving, Pins, well done to your DH too though!

I have some absolutely wonderful news.......my scan to see whether my cancer has spread to anywhere else other than my breast and lymph nodes came back as fine today. Never felt soooo relieved in all my life.

Start chemo on Monday so apologies in advance if I am not on here so regularly next week, or just leave short messages when I do pop in.

I am off to celebrate with an ice-cream - woohoo.

Nell, that truly is such splendid news and I'm so very delighted for you!!!! :grinheart :j You must be feeling as though your life has just started all over again. Absolutely chuffed to bits for you!!!! All the best with chemo, we'll miss you. You deserved that ice cream for certain, I'll have one myself today to celebrate with you.

Loving the weather, although really, really suffering with my hayfever - what with popping pills, snorting nasal spray and dropping liquid into my stinging eyes, I do not make a pretty sight these days - I scare small children if I take my sunglasses off, lol :D

Hi LindyLou, hope all will very soon be well with you and yours. Good luck to your lad! I hope it isn't too hot for him, though that'll depend on how long he's down there for. Our lad did the "Ten Tors" walk with the Army Cadets, several years ago now and loved it. BTW, I have "Citirizine" (prescribed) for my HF, it's the best I've had yet though I still do get times when it pushes through them.

LC 2....where the devil are you????? It's so quiet here.

£15 in the pot. My 2 eldest Grandchildren jetted off to Portugal for a week yesterday, DGD's boyfriend too and DGS's best friend, it'll be much quieter with DD & DSIL now, though there are still another 3 treasures to help.

DH & I are off out to lunch in the country with a dear friend today...her teat. :j

Have a lovely Thursday, everyone. Make the most of the cooler weather before we start melting again!

    Sue x

Oh it isn't too bad at least! DP also said he'd give me some cash to go to my mums with!

I did find out today that my text books for next semester will cost around $200 or so though! I get a textbook supplement of $1000 from the government next month or so, but I might look around and see if they're cheaper anywhere else.

Enjoy your free meal! It is freezing here recently!

Thank you so much to everyone for their kind words. I am still smiling like a "Cheshire cat". I have about a years worth of treatment ahead of me, but feel very ready for it.

3 x 2p coins potted for me today. Its my niece's birthday next week, so I'm off out to track down a suitable present for a soon to be 8 year old.

    Lol.

I don't like to fail on challenges and like to keep motivated. :D
It works for myself, but accept others will just want that surprise (big or small) and we all have different targets and what we are able to achieve. Hopefully lots will get "free" Xmas's this year.
I love reading the posts that get their children involved though.

    Anyway, potted 2 x £2 coins today (out of s/scan till) and 70p = £4.70.

Weather not as good here the last few days, warm but not sunny.

£412+ potted so far and pot is getting heavier. :p

mumof3plusoh - thank you. Still smiling lots and lots today :)

I have purchased a new pot......its one of those ones from the 99p store that need opening with a tin opener. Went totally bonkers and purchased one with a fairy on the front!!!!! could have been worse...it could have been one with "cars" on the front. :)

In the new pot I have put 37p. The old pot is not quite full so will "run" both pots for a short while - psychologically I thought this would stop me from feeling like I was starting all over again with an empty pot! If that makes sense to anyone but me!!!!

The sun has hidden away a little here today, but tomorrow is supposed to be a bit of a scorcher.....so mum has got the paddling pool out for the GC, and she is going to fire up the BBQ...roll on Saturday! :)
