Hugs to nell & Lost2. Sending you both healing thoughts.

Lynsey, I love my Nook, one thing you should know though, when it says the battery life is 2 months it means only if you read for half an hour each day. Who on earth only reads for that long? I've recharged mine twice and only had it a month. Enjoy yours, they are lovely.

The wind didn't bother us too much walking as we were in the bit of jungle called the Undercliff between Lyme Regis and Seaton - amazing place! However it was a bit hairy on the bike on the M5 coming home so we had to stop often for coffee :rotfl:

We haven't been there yet, Rosy, but sounds as though it's so worth going to, different for sure. No wonder you weren't affected by the wind...though I didn't envy you on the journey back!!
Oo-ER sue, I never thought of the implication of midges and Scotsmen in kilts before....trust you to put the thought in my mind! :rotfl::rotfl:

Get on with you, little_sweetie, I bet you'd soon have been thinking the same. ;) Come to think of it, we've never seen one wearing a kilt in Scotland...but have done down here. There you go then, they obviously don't like the nibbles! :rotfl:You must be bringing out the worst in me, I'm never normally like this. :A

Don't worry, mossy, we understand you even if you're DH doesn't. :D

Wow Untouchable! What some bargains you get, well done you, keep it up.

Very well done, donna, keep saving hard.

Hi there, starnac! Good to see you too. Well spotted with the £1!!

Hello again, Lost, and good to see you with such HUGE savings!!! :T I remember your fall, but what a mess you must have made of yourself! Do take care and keep away from detectors! :rotfl:

What a lovely lot of drink you're making, mishmogs, never heard of Elderberry Champagne...I obviously haven't lived. :(

Nell, I'm so terribly sorry to hear about you needing more surgery, I just hope and pray (literally) that the scan reveals it has NOT spread. Keep up the positive attitude and have a GREAT weekend!! :grinheart

Hey peeps. Thinking of you Nell! xxx

    2p road kill to pot.

Still waiting on an exchange date, was hoping it might be tomorrow but after chasing the solicitor it turns out they are still waiting for a second lot of questions to be answered. So hopefully it will be next week, my 'free' moving day off school looks like it might disappear!! Such a novelty to have a 'day off' school. Hey ho, I have a day in lieu owed so at least I can use that. :D

Bought our plane tickets for America yesterday...woo hoo!! So excited!! We're going to spend Christmas in Texas with lots of our friends, very exciting!! Sadly I had to bung the tickets on to a credit card (hides head in shame). Will start working on clearing that off!! DH has a tour towards the end of the year which will pay off a chunk. ;)
Saving for Disney again, oops why book one Disney holiday when you can book two!

Daughter found $1.20 yesterday, 10 cents of it PLAYGROUND ROADKILL. She begged to put it in, how can I refuse her wanting to fund my holiday?

Today added $2.60 with another 50 cents to add shortly and maybe a $10 note.

ETA: I am also really hoping opening day comes quickly! Its so tortuous to have the tins sitting there. I had a dream about opening it last night and I rolled around in coins :D

Had some not such great news at hospital on Monday. I need further surgery, but they will now wait until I have completed my chemotherapy until they do it. I am off for a full body scan next week to see if the cancer has spread elsewhere....and in any event should be starting chemo within next 2 weeks. But still being positive. I am making the most of feeling well at the moment and heading off to stay with my best friend of 23 years, this weekend. Lots of giggles are expected.

    Nell :( thinking of you.....
