ok ladies I need some help, I have finally decided (after saving for 4 years :rotfl:) what I want to spend all this birthday and christmas money ive been hoarding
I want a gold charm bracelet but where the heck to I buy one :think: I have a g0ldsmiths and a H S*muels in the city and our local jewellery store but have a feeling all 3 will charge rediculously over the odds to cover [STRIKE]corporate greed [/STRIKE] 'overheads'.
I already have a silver one thats got so many charms on it the clasp doesnt hold, so dont really want a second silver one, plus as ive been saving for 4 years id quite like a more expensive version(and it means DH wont have to ever tell me again he doesnt know what to buy me as a present :j)
So what do we think? any recommended places/sites that sell good quality gold bracelets but dont want me to part with £2k for the privaledge?
Oh and another handful of change in the big pot as my purse was decidedly heavySPC No 002 SPC(3) £285/£250 (4) £519.84/£500 (5) £768.32/£500 (6) £911.30/£600 (7) £913.23/£600 (8) £1184.82/£750 (9) £2864.04/£750 (10) £3846.25/£1000 (11) £1779.72/£1000 (12) £1596.55/£1000 (13) £1534.70/£1000 (14) £775.60/£1000 (15) £700.20/£1000 (16) £2081.34/£1000 (17) £1691.15/£1000 (18) £225/£10000 -
jakesmum - have you looked at the company "Pandora" they are a modern version of a charm bracelet and I believe do them in gold and silver, and have some absolutely beautiful charms that can be collected or interchanged on the bracelet. I am pretty sure that on one of the forums on here that Pandora also currently have a summer sale on.
Potted 34p today.SPC No:118:j (6) £468.74 (7)

I agree with Nell
pandora is absolutely beautiful! I bought my mother a mother/daughter charm when I went back home during mid semester break because I missed her and she loves it and wears the charms around her neck now (:
$2.90 into pot (couldn't help but buy a pie and a slice today! Down to $10 until monday xD)Sealed Pot Challenger #2080 2013

Morning all, hope all are well.
Not potted anything for a few days, but there is some change lying around. I'll look after breakfast and see what I can pot. I'm having a pretty much frugal week (to clear some food) and just buying basics. Hence not much change.
Catch up later.

Of course you can join us, guinea pig girl and pinpins. A very warm welcome to you.
Have fun saving and enjoy the banter. You'll find your numbers at the bottom of the list on post 5 of page 1. Please read through post 1 as it'll let you know exactly what to do with the challenge.
Please also subscribe to the thread by clicking on "Thread Tools" (lower green bar) and clicking "Subscribe to this thread"...or you may lose us! To put your SPC No on, go to "Quick Links" (right side of top green bar), click and then click on "Edit Signature" and you're away.
*Please pop your numbers on your sigs, it really helps.
Sorry not to have been here lately, everyone, but a VERY busy time indeed.
That's £14.91 well saved, charleybear, thanks for popping it on your siggy and all the best with saving from here on.sophie.Christie wrote:I've now edited my signature having spent 10 minutes trying to fit it on to 6 lines, that's quite a challenge I can tell you!!
To make it easier for you, sophie.christie, why not shorten your siggy and put "SPC 2276" instead? Also, if you highlight it it'll make it easier for sparky & I to see. Thanks.
Good to see you more often, skilly. Still thinking of you.
"the car jar" it is then, Pins, whatever makes you happy. All the best with it!
Sue gives them out for good Behaviour
E.g. If you're helpful to another poster or post a really nice informative welcome you might get one but she's quite sparing with them cos she doesn't want us to take them for granted.
I think she and sparky should have lots cos they run a brilliant thread for usbut I expect that sounds like crawling :rotfl:
How right you are with the first bit, Rosy, though would I ever think that about you with regard to the second?!! :eek: £245 is brilliant savings, BTW!! :T Thanks a lot for putting it on your siggy and good luck with a good amount still to be saved!
Very well saved with that £10er, nikki, though no dithering in future!Kerry_Woman wrote:Banked £71 into my savings account. Signature updated.
Marvellous saving, Kerry!! :T Keep up the great work. Thanks for popping it on your siggy.
All VERY best wishes for you, Nell, so pleased that part is over for you and fingers crossed and a prayer for you not needing any further surgery. Huge {{{{{Hugs}}}}}
Neighbours eh, just trying!Do your very best to ignore them as life's too short.
Sorry to hear about you having the shingles back, mishmogs, it's very nasty from what I've heard. Take care and rest up with the ankle. Good to see you back.
I don't think I can help, jakes-mum, as if ever I need anything like that (not often at all) it's always the high street shops.
Good to hear about the Pandora, Nell :staradmin and Untouchable, :staradmin thanks. A gold star to you both for helping.Have a good day, everyone, and keep safe and healthy!

Wow that is so much! You're doing a really great job! I am kind of hoping to have $1000 AUD by the time opening time comes around, but realistically it might be $500 which I'll be okay with!Sealed Pot Challenger #2080 2013

Ty bells and untouchable for the pandora thought, a friend also recommended them to me and was horrified when I said I didn't want one because they aren't 'real' charm bracelets :rotfl: I do like old fashioned things and just love the feel of linked chain (yes I'm regularly told I'm a bit strange
)
I did just go and have a peek at the pandora site though and some of the beads are lovely, so you never know I might change my mind if I can't find what I want :rotfl:
EDIT: at £950 for the gold bracelet it's a leeeeetle out of my price range, might talk to DH about buying the sterling silver one for me for Christmas that he can add too himself and I'll buy my link charm bracelet in gold somewhere elsecan never have too many bracelets . . . Not that I wear them :rotfl:
