    I've been Money Tipped!
Hoping all are well or at least feeling better.

Potted just a £2 coin today.
£168+ and moving forward. I think my "pot" will only take approx £300, so will need to adapt another I think.

Have a lovely Mothering Sunday tomorrow, hope we (Mother's) are all spoilt. :D

I noticed we are not allowed to include birthday money, but just wanted to know whether i can take £10 from my bank and put £10 coins into the tin? Sorry i may of read it all wrong.

I need to do something like this as i need to have ideally £500 saved up for Christmas this year!

Hi Beth! That's perfectly alright, though if I remember correctly, I'm sure I put "potting Birthday money is ok", though not anything that's been bequeathed.

I'm in the middle of doing a general post to everyone so will officially welcome you on in a moment, but you're 'in' as of now! ;) [Edit]Just checked and this is what it says about Birthdays etc

"Any money given as a gift (other than Birthdays, Christmas etc) i.e.. Inherited can not be included as savings."

about £2.12 put in the tin today making £2.37 :)
This forum & challenge is helping me a lot to keep track and to keep saving!

That's wonderful to read, charleybear, really great news, though tbh I think both have made a terrific difference to so many of us, me too! ;) Thanks very much for popping your old No on. :grinheart

Oh dear, determineddiva, you'll need to practice picking up roadkill so you don't drop anymore down the drain! Bad luck but you still did well. ;)

sue-uu yes they have now moved and are all settled in nicely thanks ,this Move is not as bad as the last time she emigrated to newzealand .

Lovely to know the youngsters are settled in, skilly, I hope you're beginning to adapt too. An excellent idea to throw yourself into the garden, you won't even need to rely on dry days with the greenhouse :j....but will need some sun. :(

Hi all, not called in for a while (hides head in shame) but I have been potting! Another £1 today.

This sounds daft but I'm finding that because I'm hardly spending any cash, I never have any change!!

Hi Barbeduk, sorry to hear you're struggling, a lot of us get paid into the bank, but draw so much out (whatever we can afford) specifically to save. It may sound Irish, but if it works......! Is that any help to you?

Hi little_sweetie, what some good fortune you hadwith your friend's pressie!! If you balance it up...the tyre cost you very little! ;) Keep kicking the fridge to keep it going..it may be a masochist. :( Keep budgetting, you'll be ok. :grinheart

    Brilliant news, oldhat!!! :T

Where are you, nu1isit?btw?? I hope all's well and that you're busy with the house, your DW and DDs.
Have a wonderful Mother's Day, ladies, enjoy being spoilt. Sorry, lads, you'll have to wait until June ;)

Thanks Sue :) I did read it wrong sorry :/ lol typical me!

Would definatly like to join and I will get myself something to start with tomorrow. I do have the sealed tins and a proper pot, but i find they are easy to raid with a knife or bank card in the slot.

Will make my own with a very thin slot. I NEED to do this otherwise the kids won't be having a Christmas this year ;)

    Thank you.
  • I've got myself a pot (actually a Clippy Box sealed with cable ties) and, although I can't stretch to putting in 50p pieces (still got debts I'm paying down :( ), I'll be putting in all spare copper from my pocket, and I tend to have a lot of that.
