Probably obscure and out of date and not meant for consumers per se, but anyone searching Google etc for that flag will come across them and that info, so could be misled.

If potential lenders searching your report cannot actually see these entries, then that needs to be made very clear in your consumer FAQs, or preferably also stated next to or under the actual report entry.
This issue is coming up multiple times now, and double entries without adequate explanation is very confusing to the average consumer, and they very naturally jump to the conclusion that their report is getting a double hit of damage.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

Yes thats right 1 default.
Lowell told me they cleared my outstanding balance, closed the account and removed their default. They did not say they passed the debt back to the original lender lloyds. So does that mean I do not need to worry about this debt anymore?
When you say only I can see the original lloyds default. Does that mean this default does not effect my credit rating/score because other lenders cant see it?
If lowell did not pass the debt back to lloyds then does that mean lloyds have to remove their entry from my credit report as lowell ended the account.
All that Lowell can and would have done is passed the debt back to original lender and removed there own default notice (as they can not touch another companies default) and then it would have been left to the devices of the first company to either attempt recovery themselves or re-sell your account on as until statute barred legislation comes into affect (6 years) the debt is still enforceable by the route of ccj[strike]Debt 1 £50.70[/strike]Paid:D
