  • amcg,

Your attempts at insults are so poor that they are laughable.
I honestly think that my 9 year old son could do a better job than you are doing. (And he could also do a better job of cutting and pasting than you are able to do.)
  • presumably because you have no superiority in your actual life

If my being a chief engineer in charge of 7 helicopters and with 21 engineering and 11 non engineering staff under me means that I have no superiority in my life then I suppose you must be right.

By the way, your attempts at insults are now even worse than those attempted by my 5 year old daughter and you really should find a good book to give you a bit of help in this field.

Best get your 5 year old to post on here because clearly you are no good at it . - over and out
If a man does not keep pace with his companions, then perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music he hears, however measured or far away. thoreau

Come on armchair lawyer, what are your real credentials?

You think threatening a case of negligence with absolutely no substance is going to make anything happen? The OP should just get the repair and move on with their life. Unless of course you are willing to fund an expensive and largely pointless legal crusade on the OPs behalf?

Consumer Rights is not always about being 100% in the right, legally or factually - it is about getting the right result for the consumer. The right result is a fixed, working and safe appliance.

Throwing around baseless legal allegations (supplied by an armchair lawyer) is not going to help anyone.

If you are genuinely interested in learning how common law can be relevant in the supply of defective goods, you could read chapter 10 ( defective products ) from Michael A. Jones, Textbook on Torts 6th Edition, Blackstone Press ltd,1998.

You need to use more up to date books! They are now on the 9th edition.

Lesson 1 - never use out of date law books...

    Hi,
I strongly recommend that anyone with a Beko tumble dryer recall to unplug!
I awoke in the early hours of a January morning to my utility room ablaze. I have not received a recall note from Beko and had purchased the machine on a BNPNY scheme last September. They knew of this problem at the end of November & in a conversation with one of their employers I was told at the end of January that they were still posting letters!!
My machine was taken away by forensics and the problem resulted was the faulty capacitor.
It caused thousands of £s worth of damage that my insurance company are now claiming back from Beko.
I am disgusted that they have put lives of people at risk with their lack of post customer care. In this day & age this is unacceptable.
    Good luck to you all.
Ps I found my machine on the Which? website. It contained the warning for recall, unfortunately for me it was too late.

I am sorry to hear this. :(

It happened me to experiment the very same situation, with only one difference: Beko's website warned the British customers in late november 2012, but failed to do so for the French ones before early february 2013. Ain't life great ?

    And the result is :

Just check on youtube with "incendie electromenager" as keywords.

Considering that my home had been completely renovated 6 months ago, I guess you can imagine my frustation.

Since then, both my insurance and my lawyer are riding on Beko's ...
