Good Evening and welcome artytarty my ex sis-in-law used to take students in during their visits from abroad when her children were small to help make ends meet a bit Unfortunately one summer she had three german lads who were due to go back home on the Wednesday and her three children came down with measles on the Monday so they weren't allowed to travel,by which time two young french boys turned up as they hadn't been told about the measles so Sue was landed with three spotty little ones and five young chaps whom she managed to fit in by topping and tailing her children and sleeping herself on a camp bed with the kids .Afterwards she could see the funny side of it but at the time it was quite a squash.She kept ringing me up and asking me to make casseroles and shepards pies to feed her bulging houshold :)But that autumn her and the children went off to Morroco for a weeks holiday using the cash she had earned from her student lodgers She preferred lads to girls as she said they seemed to be less trouble and worry
Well I had a nice day today and went to Eastgate House in Rochester where a lovely lady guide showed about 8 of us all over the house and we even got to go right to the top floor and fingers crossed if they get some Lottery funding it will be restored to its former glory Its nearly 500 years old and an amazing building
Then I picked the boys up from school and we went home and had hot chocolate and choc chip cookies that I had made for them this morning a nice end to a nice day,not healthy I know but on a cold November afternoon those four boys loved it and it warmed them up a treat (and me :))
Eldest DD is trying to get a couple of tickets at the moment for me to see Robbie next year I went to his Amsterdam Concert in 2006 and he was just fantastic,I am sitting here waiting for her text apparently he is doing an extra show on the 2nd July so I have everything crossed at the moment
Its been so cold today I decided to dig out my white crocheted hat that DD bought me last year and its been great as I just cover my ears and it keeps me nice and warm,no such thing as bad weather only bad dressing I am a lady who likes to be warm as my joints won't work if I get cold.Right I am going to get a cuppa and hopefully I will get a text shortly fingers crossed

Bitsy - hope the house sells soon

Good, if busy, day in work! Work kids did dress rehearsal for the Santa's Grotto, they start it tomorrow. And this afternoon we went for a walk around the local harbour, before going on a recce to all the schools we will be going to.

OS wise - WM been on and drying on radiators, hoovered, tidied, spare beds made up ready for tomorrow night, cheese&potato pie made for tea with 2 LO portions for lunches.

Welcome Artytarty, LW, sorry to hear about all the stress, Tru, hope your M & D mend soon.
BB, hubby was confused as there was no note, but as soon as I opened the box I guessed they were from you, lol.
Well I have heating at work, some one else who also has no heating kicked off big time yesterday & made a formal complaint & suddenly extra heaters were provided.
