As a host family for these people too. It's great, we low having children in the house again and I can earn a nice bit if I'm arson ably careful!
I'm not trying to advertise them by the wy, just sharing so me mse ness with my new friends.
I get £27 per boy per night, I take three for nine nights twice a year.youve got to like young people and cooking and enjoy company in the house.well, it helps I find.
I keep meaning to say thank you for the warm welcome!Norn Iron Club member 4730 -
Good for you, oh Artful One!:D I couldn't handle having human guests - we're a host family for a dog-sitting service (which the regulars here will tell you I rattle on about ad nauseam):D but I'm far more at ease with dogs than I am with humans.:o
Oh, and I forgot to say Hoppy Birdday to Julie's DS.
My head's a shed today.:cool:If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Bbbbrrrr:eek:I'm going to have to resort to doing some ironing to get warm I think:rotfl:There is still frost on the car window yet.
I've spent the best part of an hour sorting socks out-with 3 men in the house it takes some doing.I did leave them in a laundry basket for them to get their own,but I'm sick of finding them all over the bedroom floor every morning.
Just had l.overcottage pie for my dinner, warmed me up a bit but not enough.I gave some of my hand made cards to my friend for her stall on the Victorian market this Saturday when we walked the dogs.Hope it warms up by then otherwise they'll all be freezing.
DS1 had chance of a free ticket for ManU last night but declined as it was so cold and he didnt fancy sitting outside,& it was short notice too.
Freezer bits for tea,DGD is coming later so like to have something quick.I've just hopefully mended a bra with popping out wires, stitched across the top on my sewing machine.I have a few the same, and its happened before. Not dead cheap ones either but from M&ess:mad:
LW-calming vibes sent to you.Its avery awkward situation and I do feel for you.Perhaps it'll go ok if MrLW is your rep-hope so,if anybody should get their money it's you.Virtual hugs.
Welcome Artytarty

Good afternoon all,
Very chilly here today. It has just started raining.
Julie, happy birthday to your ds.
Sistercas, well done to your dd. No wonder you are proud.
Tru, glad that your parents are ok.
Bitsy, hope you get plenty of viewings.
I had to leave off work for a little while to pick up dd from sixth form. She was feeling very sick and dizzy. They are dropping like flies at her sixth form with all sorts of bugs.
I thought i had broken the patio door because it was jammed. I was really pulling at it trying to get it open. I then realised i hadn't unlocked it. I sometimes wonder about myself, i really do.
I have made biscuits since i have been home from work. The washing has been put on the airer. I need to have a hoover round.
Tea tonight is chicken and i will put them in breadcrumbs with hm wedges and salad.
I hope everyone has a good rest of the day and hugs to those who need them.

Afternoon All
Internet cut out again last night and I have only just found time to get back on line.
Cold here too but at least it is dry with a breeze so all the bedding is on the line and the beds have been remade with the spare sets.
Welcome Artytarty
sistercas well done to DD :T
We had to go shopping in Aldi this morning and spent £105  But it did include 2 wool coats, one for DS and one for DH they were reduced to £15.99 so that accounted for £31.98 plus men's scarves at £1.50 (£3) and suede gloves at £2.49 (£5.98) £40.96 in total so I have wrapped them as an extra Christmas presents.
LameWolf don't give up that is what they want :mad::mad: Make sure that if you have to go to one of their farcical assessments, they can't call it a medical, because it isn't ask for it to be taped (Which they don't tell you) when the appointment is made and if possible take someone like a CAB advisor with you. I have a friend who is a solicitor who said that she will come with me when I have to face itIt is going to be bad for many disabled people when PIP rolls out next year and I for one am dreading it. My God we need a Revolution in this country !
This is a brilliant site for disabled and sick people that gives lots of advice:

BB read the last link. !!!!!! are we so civilised now we make babies suffer an agonising slow death. Surely the drugs for an overdose would be cheaper than keeping them on a hospital ward. I am disgusted this is done to elderly patients even more sickened its done to children too.
LW hugs for you xxxI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

Do doctors not take the hypocratic oath anymore? "First do no harm":mad::mad::mad::mad: It just shows that you can't trust doctors or the government who pays premiums for people put on the LCP :mad::mad::mad::mad:Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

I was shocked when i read it in the Daily Mail. It made me think back to when i was told my daughter wouldnt survive.
I took her back to the hospital where she was born where within hours they did tests and told me she was dying. As it was they took her to Birmingham Childrens hospital when she had open heart surgery twice. She did die eventually, a combination of open heart surgery and her kidneys failed her but when i read this article it made me grateful that she was at least given every chance of life. If she had been born today, i'm sure given the very first diagnosis she would probably have not been given that chance.
Its all wrong. It would have been kinder to go down the Dignitas route (one drink and your gone). This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
