Limited Edition designer shopping bag on sale ONE DAY ONLY at Sainsburys 25th April

Was in sainsburys doing bit of shopping earlier tonight and asked checkout girl if they would be stocking the bag (had checked website and it said that store would). She went uummm i'm not sure, maybe, possibly and then looked skyward. So i assume the staff aren't too keen on the customers getting their hands on them!

It's total madness. I would like to know how many people who do manage to get one actually want one rather than wanting to make a quick profit!!

I know this site is MSE and every penny helps but I really, really want one for me not to sell on EBAY!!! It seem's the majority of the bags are bought up by people who just sell them on ebay.

The rest of us mere mortals who want the latest £5 bag or the latest Miss Selfridges maxi dress for £45 have no chance.

My local sainsbury's store is a 5 min drive so will give it a go but if I don't get it there is no way I am paying for one on ebay.

Right, got that off my chest. Good luck to everyone who wants one of these tomorrow for themselves!!

just rang my 2 local stores as they are not listed one of them has 90 bags and the other 30 neither of these stores are listed as selling them:D

My daughter has just got back from working at Sainsburys and they have been told that every store has been given 30 bags, more for big stores.
They have been inundated with phone calls today and expect queues from 4 am. The 1st 30 people will be given a ticket as they enter the store at 8am.

Good luck to those who want to try. Too early for me!

Just hope that the staff don't grab them all the way they do at Tesco and Marks & Sparks when they have great offers on.

I was told that staff have to queue like the rest of us. They cant buy them or put them a side if they are working on the day.

I am wondering, i am gonna have to ask if ppl r buying the bags r tat they r just queuing up to buy their breckfast.
Still in 2 minds about weather to bother going.
