    They're designed to.
Have a read around this forum and see the thousands of other people who are in exactly the same situation as you (including me) and you'll soon realise the letters are, well quite frankly, laughable.

I will do, would like a little preview of what I have to look forward to. So there really is no chance of them taking it further? I was thinking it would be just my luck.....

Anyone who pays one of these has been mugged.

BUT ANYONE READING THIS 2012 THREAD NOW NEEDS TO STOP READING.

    READ CURRENT THREADS.

THIS IS YEARS OLD AND IT IS NO LONGER THE CASE THAT PCNS FROM PRIVATE FIRMS ARE TO BE IGNORED. THERE IS A WINNING APPEALS SYSTEM.

GOOGLING AND THEN READING & REPLYING ON A 2012 THREAD NOW IS LIKE READING AN OLD NEWSPAPER ARTICLE AND THINKING MAGGIE THATCHER IS STILL PM! YOU HAVE FOUND THE RIGHT FORUM BUT AN OLD, OLD THREAD.

STAY ON THIS FORUM BUT READ CURRENT THREADS, PLEASE!

COME ON IT'S EASY - ONE CLICK. DO A 'FORUM JUMP' TO PAGE ONE (BOTTOM LEFT NOW) OR CLICK WHERE MY SIGNATURE TELLS YOU TO AND READ THE TOP STICKY THREAD FOR NEWBIES.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:
Home»Motoring»Parking Tickets Fines & Parking - read the NEWBIES THREAD

That's a shame as it looks like the links to the Britannia letters are dead. Maybe if Kelius gets a few she (?) could post them up and update the thread.

    Hi
Don't know if anyone will read this but unfortunately I have picked up one of these parking tickets yesterday after parking outside McDonalds in the West Quay Car Park in Southampton. Apparently it's a private car park (administered by Britannia Parking) but signs indicating this are quite frankly pathetic and not at all obvious and I've never had to pay to park at a McDonalds ever!!
I see in the earlier threads it says to ignore the ticket but doesn't make it clear whether it's for a private car or a company car. It's just that I was driving a company car - does it make any difference and if so why?
