1991 Mercedes 300TD (Touring Deluxe, not Turbo Diesel!) on 382000 miles. No history but it's built like a tank so I wasn't bothered.
Xantia 1.9TD on 198000 & tons of history.
Both running just fine on waste oil0 -
I did 200,000+ on a Nissan Sunny diesel. That's what I call "well run-in".0

I had a Pontiac Parisienne in the US with more than a quarter of a million miles on it. It had a huge V8 motor and just ticked over at Freeway speeds, so not stressed and probably good for another quarter of a million. It only did about 12 miles to the (US) gallon, but at less than $1 a gallon at the time, who cares? Million mile Chevvy & Ford trucks are not that unusual over there.I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.0

Audi 80, 216000 and a Chrysler Voyager, 149000.
Both current cars, both running on bio.0 -
1998 VW LT350 van, had 240,000 miles on it when I sold it and it is still on the road now.Be Alert..........Britain needs lerts.0

1998 Ford Mondeo Ghia 1.8 TDI . I bought it with 80,000 on the clock and sold it 5 years later after 180,000. I loved that car.
In all those miles the only item that needed replacing apart from routine stuff was an advance/retard sensor. which cost about 100 quid IIRC.
It still drove like new but the engine was starting to show it's age and the performance was getting a bit flat. I replaced it with a TDCi Focus because I thought all diesels were as reliable :rotfl:
Oh well, you live and learn0 -
Mercedes E320 CDi, currently on 213,000 miles. Full Mercedes service history up to 95,000 miles, serviced at an independent Mercedes specialist thereafter. Nothing wrong with it, and running fine.0

I agree - I had a Mondeo too and it was one of the best cars I've ever had. In the 2 years I owned it I only had to replace one stop/tail bulb and a set of wipers.0 -
I bought a Saab 900 Turbo in 1995. Three years later it had covered 149,000 miles before I sold it. Best car I've ever owned for reasons of journeys, experiences and shagging! The man without a signature.0
