    He wants to go abroad.

DS has various problems but no DX. He has problems with his sight and has significant hearing problems. He has learning disabilities, autistic behaviours, is still in nappies, has no communication, has problems with his movement so cannot feed himself, wash himself. He also has sleep issues and bowel problems. He is lovely and the most beautiful boy, but a meltdown can come with no warning and he will smash head on the floor, bite himself and lash out.

    In a nutshell :D

He doesnt 'know' his dad - he has no bond with him and his dad doesnt know how to deal with him.

So we're not exactly talking minimal care needs are we! Travelling is awkward enough when you have and know your own needs let alone with a child you can't communicate with, who can do very little for himself and who has violent meltdowns. I'm baffled as to why his dad thinks it's appropriate to take him on holiday without putting some effort in to learning how to care for him first. You said he doesn't believe he should be in a buggy etc. Is it possible that he thinks all these problems are because you baby him in some way? That being forced to do things might provide some miracle improvement?

I would definitely seek some legal advice about contact, I can't see how any Judge would order overnight contact without his father knowing what his care needs are and being able to communicate with him, let alone taking him abroad.
