Perhaps be a good idea to remove the link?0

The link which has been posted is not a phishing link.
It looks like it's the text which appears in the email, to fool the user.
When copying and pasting, the underlying link may not be copied through, particularly into a text-only environment like a forum post.
The email including headers should be forwarded to ihaveseenascam@co-operativebank.co.uk and phishing@cityoflondon.police.ukWe need the earth for food, water, and shelter.
The earth needs us for nothing.
The earth does not belong to us.

TBH there are so many of these emails around if we all posted the ones we got the forum would be swamped with posts.
The best advice is to not ever disclose your details based on an email linkRemember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0 -

Indeed I find that it's quite rare to have a day pass without getting a phishing email pertaining to be from various organisations. Lately I have had several Paypal ones as well as all the usual banks.0 -

At least 3 things should scream scam
1. Dear Co-operative Account Holder, - scam as account holder not named
2. For security reason and your 4 digits security code we would require - scam as poor English
3. your 4 digits security code we would require - scam as never ask for this0 -
When I got a scam mail with attachment on my hotmail address I forwarded it to the relevant bank link for notification of scam mails, and hotmail sent me a load of warnings I had a virus and needed to reactivate the account because their filters had obviously picked up something in the forwarded mail.
No need to say my scans showed nothing wrong, I had just forwarded an infected mail so the authorities could investigate. What should I do in future to be a good citizen - copy and paste the mail to the scam informers without attachment where there might be a new variant virus that needs investigation and a fix which they won't pick up on till later?
Reason I ask is years ago I got infected with a virus that infected most exe files on my hard drive which I could see by file size (it was a monitor activity and report back type). I sent the examples with some original files to Kasperksky since their program and all others I tried did not pick it up. They confirmed it was a brand new varient of a known infection and within a week had an update to pick it up and neutralize. I just replaced my drives from up to date Ghost images and no longer have any exes on my D data drive that are not within an encrypted space so cannot be infected again in the same way. But a prompt report may have saved others some grief.0 -
TBH I imagine most people who post here are well aware of the dangers of links, as someone else says it is probably harmless in this case, but it's not much trouble to remove a link and I was just trying to be helpful.
I didn`t say you were unhelpful but just felt as the thread title was a warning about a scam email there was no need to remove the link.
I don`t have a Co-op bank account and when I went to the link my anti virus came up with a phishing warning.
As said above never, ever reveal your details from an email or ay phone call you may receive to ANYONE.0
