Is the OP asking for advice or advertising baybrokers?
If after advice, best to just pay the fee and collect the goods. In the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces0 -
Soolin ,you seem to biased
Anyways my question here is can I use this service now from baybrokers(for clearing customs for my shipment) and save $30+ bucks or is it too late and let UPS loot me??
Biased how?
Your opening post suggests item has been shipped and is awaiting your payment before it can be delivered. If so I cannot see any way at all that you can now change the courier- in fact it seems such an odd question that I wonder if I have misunderstood entirely?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Soo's telling you the truth, Ryan. Whatever carrier your seller used, they would all charge handling for dealing with customs authorities."Well, it's election year, Bill, we'd rather people didn't exercise common sense..." - Jed Bartlet, The West Wing, season 4

Anyways my question here is can I use this service now from spambrokers(for clearing customs for my shipment) and save $30+ bucks or is it too late and let UPS loot me??
So did you just join up to try and spam a company to us ? You are aware this is a UK board and we have no use for this company at all ?0 -

@soolin, you misunderstood me.
@lunatic im definitely not here to spam, and even if i were it wouldn't make sense,i dont wanna just collect my item because of this http:xxtrueler.com/2010/09/13/ups-brokerage-fees-total-scam-fraud-cheating-avoid-it/ (replace xx with //)
@crowqueen d above link suggests different, and again 40% of item value makes sense to you? at most it should be 15-20%
@vuvuzlea i found that site from above link, and wanted your opinion whether clearing customs via them and saving $30 was worth it or not
i guess i better find some canadian forums with my problem, anyways thanks everyone for all your help0 -
Pay for it or let customs dispose of it and lose $158. Simple.
Item + Postage + import duty + tax + admin fee.
There are calculators that can work out the actual costs. Quick google finds them.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Your problem is it is already in the system - your item is in UPS's hands and you won't get it until you pay up. You might have been able to arrange a different shipper with the seller but it is too late now.But a banker, engaged at enormous expense,Had the whole of their cash in his care.

Hmm this has just made me think, and ive just had a look on google fir a calculator but they seem rather confusing!
Iv just purchased a stainless steel ring for $64 usd including postage, cost me just under £42 when paying via paypal, its coming from america, does anyone have a rough idea of what inport costs ill have to pay?
I did know id have costs to pay but just wasnt sure of what they would be?0 -
Ryan, I'd the cost of the import tax makes it too expensive, can you not just refuse or return it for a full refund?Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0
