Hi, not sure if this is of any use, but the first hints are:
drink plenty of water, sleep plenty, avoid sun and smoking and eat well. in terms of ranges, try liz earle which is very well priced and is often award winning and also consult with space nk who are very good for advice and products across a range of budgets. good luck!

For all you blokes thinking of getting any for your significant others my advice would be : 'don't bother' My OH banged on about the Olay stuff so I bought her some and now she's moaning 'cause she thinks that I think she's a wrinkly.

 You just can't win - can you !!

Something like this with Omega-3 fats. Also contains -6 and -9 but not so much chance you will be deficient in those.

NB you drink it not slap it on, but it does improve my skin and hair.

Many thanks for Shokadelika for starting the useful thread on rosehip oil (http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=360547). Have ordered mine and looking forward to using it.

Can someone advise me on a good, natural, general anti-ageing skincare range that is reasonably priced?- I assume you're not supposed to use the rosehip oil to replace your normal moisturiser (or maybe you are?) so I was wondering what you folks would recommend for general anti-ageing cleanse, tone and moisturise.

I've been using the Energys range from Higher Nature for a couple of months now (see www.energysskincare.com)-it's expensive and to be honest I haven't noticed a great deal of difference in my skin. I'm also quite surprised that none of the moisturisers contain a sunscreen- so I'm looking to change my skincare routine! I'm 43 and I'd describe my skin type as 'combination'! Any advice gratefully received.

Liquid parrafin strips the natural oils from your skin and causes dryness and premature ageing, and prevents the elimination of toxins from your body.

I keep reading on these forums how liquid paraffin (or to give it its other names- mineral oil, baby oil, E45) is bad for your skin and causes dryness. But what I can't understand is why doctors prescribe it routinely for eczema, and generally see it as a good thing- E45 is even mentioned on the Eczema Society website as a good treatment for the condition. If liquid paraffin is so bad, why don't the experts realise this? If it's true, you would have thought that they would have figured it out!

All I can find on an internet search also seems to be all positive, eg. http://www.netdoctor.co.uk/skin_hair/eczema_moisturisers_003761.htm
Can someone explain why some people believe liquid paraffin to be bad for the skin, or give me a link to something I can read on its negative side.

I like to try to see both sides of an argument before I make my mind up! Sad, aren't I.......

I use Alpha H cleanser and moisturiser, an Australian company, the products are available from QVC and Ebay. I think my skin has improved dramatically (I am a little older than you) the best compliment I had was my 30 year old daughter asking what products I use as my skin looks better than hers!!

Thanks cruisemad- that's interesting. I've found it on a website http://www.beautyexpert.co.uk/brandsubgroup.asp?objecttradersearch=1&GroupID=1332 and it looks quite pricey, but as you say there's quite a lot of it on Ebay where you can get it much cheaper. Might give it a go when I've finished all my Energys stuff. Must have made you feel great when your daughter said that to you!
