Tesco where I live has only recently put it's prices up by about 3p per litre over the last couple of weeks. It's currently 144.9 (un-leaded). Garage about half a mile down the road sells it at 148.9.

Actually I boo boo'd. Tesco is currently 135.9 (un-leaded) and the other garage is 139.9. I think I was looking at the diesel price originally.

It's been in the news for the past week or so that prices are going up - which is currently happening.

Asda was 130.7ppl yesterday for petrol and 138.7ppl for diesel.

I am quite aware of that, but my reason for bumping the thread was to point out that MSE only tells us prices are dropping when Asda has produced a press release to claim yet again they are leading the way.

At the moment Asda near here is almost 3 pence a litre more expensive than some neighbours.

So there isn't much help in MSE staff unquestioningly duplicating this material at the moments of the supermarkets' choosing.
  • I tend to stick to Shell fuel now. Or any other proper brand if I'm passing and need fuel.

Local Shell always price match Asda.
