so if i spend £1300 on vouchers at Morrisons nd get £1.30 a litre off my petrol , will i get some money back for filling up :rotfl:0

virtually no change in the petrol price over the course of this year

in june I paid 1.329 a litre, today I paid 1.329 a litre :rotfl: and people complain prices are rising, how does that work?
Earlier this year I paid 132.9p per litre. In September I was paying 142.9p per litre. Yesterday I paid 131.9p per litre. The trouble is I overpaid by ten pence per litre for six months, that is why people like me are getting peed off.The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0 -
It is noticeable that the price of Diesel - which MUST be cheaper to produce than unleaded - and has a large impact on the UK economy - has NOT been reduced in line with these reductions. This is outrageous. Time perhaps for a co-ordinated forecourt blockade?0

Diesel, or gas oil which is the oil companies description, price depends on seasonal demand. The majority of refined product goes, during the winter, for commercial/home heating use with the remainder being left for road fuel unlike Gasolene/petrol which is mainly used as road fuel all year round.0 -
6 years ago, diesel was less expensive than unleaded. It still is,in most of the countries of Europe. 6 years ago, the excuse of the retailers and refiners was that they had underestimated the demand for diesel and used the supply/demand excuse for the difference. They have had 6 years to sort this out. 3 weeks ago, the price difference was 6p a litre, now it's 9p. This is racketeering and sabotage of the UK economy. Time for either a forecourt blockade or a threat of a fine of 10% of worldwide turnover for predatory pricing.0

Not in the UK, motor spirit comes from the lighter end of the barrel and is not used for anything else except road vehicle fuel whereas Gas oil/ Diesel is used in many different areas. Demanding a blockade will not solve the problem especially when the cost of most fuels is controlled by the government, for example petrol and diesel cost before duty and vat is app 65p per litre and after £1.40p, any worthwhile suggestions would be most welcome.0 -
price of diesel at Asda 139.7
price at cheapest place nearby 136.9
We must be just about primed for the next instalment of MSE parrots Asda PR about cutting its prices0 -
Tesco Diesel today £1.42 garage next door £143.9.0

Tesco where I live has only recently put it's prices up by about 3p per litre over the last couple of weeks. It's currently 144.9 (un-leaded). Garage about half a mile down the road sells it at 148.9.PLEASE NOTEMy advice should be used as guidance only. You should always obtain face to face professional advice before taking any action.0

I was thinking that too.... our local Tesco have put the price up 2p a litre on unleaded and diesel over the last week - just waiting for the "were dropping the price of fuel" or "5p a litre off"..........0
