Pasta bake. Ikea reindeer pasta, jar of sauce and a bag of grated cheese. Very little washing up, quick, simple and no stress.

I am trying to remember what OH and I did for Christmas Eve dinner the last two years but I can't think. I think it's time to start a tradition!

Will watch this thread with interest and have a think about what might be nice...

we have take away. I've been cooking all day and oh cleaning so i don't want to cook and then us have the dishes to sort out. we have been out early doors before now but prefer to stay at home really. usually by 5 all the prep is done and Christmas starts and we have a nice drink, eat and watch tv

i normally cook a ham so we have that with pork pie and salad etc
  • normally we have some family over and usually have pizza, garlic bread and salad, with a pudding from the freezer - e.g. cheesecake or gateau.
However his year family are coming 22nd and we will have a buffet, and I will be working on Christmas eve (usually I book the day off) so not sure this year but something very easy - maybe even a takeaway!!:j
  • Nothing special except for having a trifle (my mum makes a great trifle) which I then also eat for breakfast the next day :)

We usually have fish and chips on christmas eve especially if we've been really busy that day.
