  • Because everyone says they are the modern factories and they treat their workers like junk and therre ae no propects.

I am certainly not wasting all my effort in study to achieve nothing in life like so many do.

Who is this everyone that you always listen to?

So you're gonna waste your time not getting any job at all instead then?

    Aaaaarrrrrgggggghhhhhh!!!

    Everyone??!

At least half a dozen people on here have told you they aren't!!!

The only reason you won't achieve is because you aren't prepared to try anything. Until you alter that, you'll be living a self-fulfilled prophecy.

How do you know that a call centre job is horrible?

I did one for a few years (part time on top of my full time job and study) and I LOVED it. Was a great atmosphere and I made some great friends there, as well as earning a fair bit of money.

You are soooooooooooooo narrowsighted (whichever SP you are  )

I have it on good authority that they are sweat shops.

If a call centre is all I can aim at I might as well go to uni tomorrow and tell them to forget my course and burn my qualifications, burn my hopes of being useful and making a difference to the world.

Well said. Get your negative attitude sorted out, Phil, or you'll never get and hold a job. Take any job that's going; it's better than nothing.

So you know someone who's worked in every call centre? Are the people on here lying?
You don't have to stay there, but it's a start and some real world experience!!!

We went round and round on this about a week ago, and the thread got locked. Get your head out of your backside and go read the old thread and take on board what was said. I would suggest no-one feeds Phil's bad behaviour on this; it'll only encourage him to keep obssessing about himself.

Erm, £1k take home per month at first, pass exams get approx £18k per year (not sure what that is take home), then go on to supervise a team etc etc

    That's nothing in life?

    What do you want? REALISTICALLY

And your "everyone" is very wrong

Screw your good authority. I still have friends working at the call centre I was at. One in particular has not only stayed there (almost 10 years), she is now the Managing Director of the company.

All the other mates that are still there are high level managers. They've been rewarded for their loyalty and knowledge of the company and the industry they work in.

So put that in your pity pipe and smoke it.

    I can't be @rsed with you anymore - you don't f'ing listen.

No, a top Manager at an Internet Bank told me that it is work you must avoid at all cost as it is so dead end and they treat you so badly.

Right and this person knows about EVERY call centre and they're all the same? So you don't believe what people are telling you on here? Or aren't you listening?

Maybe one of the other SPs will listen
