I am not whining. I am so frustrated that almost everyone else at uni seems to be able to get on in life and I can not even get an interview for a job I wanted.

I get frustrated because I am told work at a call centre and that just means I will be looked down on as a failure as it is not respected work.

    Aaaaaaaaarrrrrrrggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!

You're right Phil. Stay on the dole. You'll get much more respect than doing anything that requires a bit of motivation.

That's because you didn't meet the criteria and you used the form to talk about non-related stuff!!!!!

Don't you think you're more likely to be thought a waster if you find an excuse not to do every job suggested to you? Wouldn't it be better to have any job? If you hate it, you can move on

I am open to most jobs but not call centres as they are so badly thought of.

So there's your mission. Go and work in a call centre, be the best employee possible, and you'll be doing a useful job in raising the profile of that part of the market by being reliable and helpful.

You'll get zero respect if you refuse to take any job which you consider beneath you, which is the way you're heading. Surely that's worse if you're so crippled by what others think?

You're recycling your posts again now. Or was it one of the others that posted that last time?

No one said you have to work in a call centre. It was just one of a list of suggestions. But you seem to find an excuse for EVERY job suggested to you

Would it stop you posting all this drivel on here if you did rip your arm off?

In which case I vote that you do it.

Shouldn't you be researching for Tuesday night's activities? Or is another SP doing that?!

Surely all my study and effort and nearly killing myself at it at times must be worth something and I must be able to get a semi- decent job.

Really an office job should not be aimming too high.

So assess why you can't. So far I've seen you:

    - Dismiss whole sectors for no good reason
    - Apply for jobs which require experience you don't have
    - Waffle on about irrelevant things
    - Whine endlessly and obssessively about how hard done by you are
    - Ignore ALL advice given to you

Not exactly a sterling endorsement of your employability, is it? Meanwhile your peers are being realistic and motivated and getting results because they're taking advice and helping themselves to be the best they can.

    You're just a snob aren't you?
It's not a case of aiming too high - it just depends whether you can do the job. I have degrees, but I can't audio type so I wouldn't expect to get a job that required it
