    I think you mentioned protected no claims, so apart from the excess this won't affect you unless you have a couple more claims in the near future. Make sure the insurer agrees the repair before going ahead.

    Excess and risk of increased premiums? Decat pipe £100 - £150?

    Some diesels do have a CAT. Some have a DPF.

    Not sure if some have both though?

    Got a decat on mine. No issues. Actually helped to get more power and
    better economy.

  • I had a Cat lock fitted to my Sprinter after hearing of numerous ones going missing not far away.
