Oh my yes, it really was an all day camel ride.
The only saving graces were you could get a whole weeks washing done at a sitting and the spinner left the clothes almost dry.. mind you it would bend anything knitted well out of shape, I've had many a 'cascading' cardigan.:)0 -
I also had the Hoovermatic De Luxe twin tub as on the youtube link

It was second hand & would travel the whole length of my kitchen whilst spinning :rotfl: I also had to wear my wellies whilst doing a wash as it was always giving me electric shocks  Oh the memories. Now thanks to Tommix & Queen Bear, now Lady Westy of Woodpecker

LOL - looking back I can't believe I spent so much time using the twin tub, but living in a rented house with a new born, I had no choice really. But this was over 10 years ago and I certainly wouldnt dream of getting another one!XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX:wave:XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX0 -

I have a Hotpoint Supermatic Deluxe, still going strong after 24 years of ownership. Replaced a couple of hoses, and the spin pump has a slight leak, but I can live with that!0
