It is horrible here, and we had to go to Asda to get our monthly bits in there (The stuff that we can't get in Aldi like lemon tea for DH ) Thankfully we will not have to go back there until January now :jI noticed that their prices are really rising quickly and not by a few pence either sardines have gone up by 6p a tin corned beef up by 23p a tin, smart price flour up by 8p a bag etc etc  and the packs are most definitely getting smaller

uolypool What a disgusting thing to do  some morons never learn, I hope that the little swine gets a prison sentence, it might knock him into line.

    Afternoon All

Happy Birthday to the Miss's and Masters, hope they all have good days.
LW - Hope your arm is improving.
Uolypool - So glad the scum has been arrested, as others have said hope he gets everything he deserves.
Beemuzed - Christmas will happen anyway so don't worry if you're not ready, good to hear your OH is up and about.

Woke early today and had an interview at 10 - not heard anything yet so assuming I didn't get the job. Would have been ideal too. Never mind.

House is still clean and tidy if not a little cold! Hope you are all ok with the floods, touch wood we have been very lucky, in fact the weather has been glorious the last couple of days. Thing may change!

DD working 2.30 till 9 today so will have a nice quiet evening, not sure what's for tea, will have a rummage later.

    Take care. XX

We're being greedy here, we have 2 sorts of flooding, the river is high & filled the fields & low lying gardens along the river bank & we've also had a flash flood when all the water ran off the hills & overwhelmed the drains. There was moment of panic when a staff member announced that the water was so deep the buses couldn't get through, turns out the council are using the bus turning point for their lorry!
    Keep safe & dry everyone.
    Hugs Hester

Uolypool - at what he did but I'm so pleased he has been arrested! And pleased that DS is enjoying new job.
BB - hope you've washed off the mud :rotfl:

I'm feeling a bit better, exhausted after work cos I was on my own all day as my colleague had a funeral. Work kids were good though, they finished off their education files this morning and this afternoon we sorted out their costumes for the Santa's Grotto we are doing for local primary schools :D they all looked fab. It was a nice relaxed afternoon.

I'm going to be naughty and go to the chippy later. I'm still starving so I'm goign to feed my cold! I can't really taste much so bland carbs is the way to go.

    Bu99er all OS sorry :o

    Have a good evening all

    Hi.

Don't seem to have accomplished much today, shame really because the to-do list grows every time I look at it. So tired I went to sleep after lunch. Sat down to do the crossword and woke up an hour later with the paper and the pen still in my hand.
Am struggling with the Church Magazine this month, inspiration has gone AWOL.

Jacket potatoes, ham and salad for lunch. the Rev asks for it every day but I think twice a week is enough in this weather.

Uolypool: Is the little toad stupid? After all that's gone on you would have thought he'd have kept his head down. There must be something wrong with him. I agree that FB etc makes it far too easy for unpleasant people to inflict their cess-pit minds on to other people. So many people have had their lives ruined by it.

Oh well, back to the drawing board, I didn't get the job. Still, there were 65 applicants and only 5 interviewed so I can take something from that.

Is it the first Sunday of Advent this weekend Monnagran? So you've had Stir-up Sunday? I used to enjoy hearing the first carols & Advent hymns when my boys wereyounger.

Floss: Yes, this Sunday is the first in Advent. I have organised the service for our church and now just have the lovely job of choosing the hymns. I like singing the carols these days, now I haven't been teaching them to children since September!

Sorry about the job Camelot, but you know the saying, "What's for you won't go by you." There'll be another, better one. Lets hope it's soon.
