O/S Daily Tuesday 27 November 2012 Hi, this is the Daily Thread for Monday 26 November 2012. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything Old Style and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what Old Style things we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an Old Style natter. The more the merrier!

As this is the Old Style Board, it would be appreciated if posts could include some Old Style content. Please be aware that many people may have small screens, or slow internet connections, so please don’t post large pictures, or clip art – links are preferred.
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning.

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.

Morning all , hope no one else has started thread. Jolly cold here today so dog walk was a brisk one. Jack seems ok but was sick in night again so we will be taking him to vet tonight. Bitsy hope Luna is better. Hugs to all in need esp Topsy. Molly . LW ,Hilstep, Tru and FB. Hope everyone has a good day and keep warm.:)

    Morning everyone

Hugs to those that need/want them that are having a hard/sad time at the moment x

Now getting light, raining again here this morning. DH up and off to work stupid early.

Dinner last night was pork chops, mash, veg, LO veg, and gravy, desserts from the tin for those that had room. Tonight we will be having sausages, mash, veg and onion gravy.

Yesterday work was horrendously busy one minute and then quiet the next, not helped by the fact that we had 2 people off sick, 1 we already knew about but 1 colleague came in but had to go home poorly. We'll see what today brings!

I posted a few weeks back about a local man that went missing without a trace and the authorities have spent loads of time searching with the search and rescue teams etc they found his body last week - so not the outcome that everyone hoped for - but at least he'll be given a proper funeral and send off and his family and friends can say goodbye properly and hopefully find some comfort and closure in that.

Have a great day everyone, stay safe and well x

    Morning all,

I'm not in the best of moods today. The dogs got me up three times in the night (once just for attention because they didnt seem to want anything) and i'm shattered now. I refuse to let them share my bedroom and i'm beginning to regret taking the crates away.

We have had rain and more rain and just when the rain eases off we have some more! I pity the poor souls who have an outside job.

Bin men only came yesterday and ive got a full black sack of rubbish already. Just when i think ive got rid of the clutter/junk i find some more. Hubby isnt helping, as fast as i get rid of stuff he brings back more. I notice he's stuffed the old Virgin Media modem under the bed with all the rest of the computer junk. We have a super modem now so the old one is surplus to requirements.... Thats been chucked. If my modem breaks they will have to provide me with a new one (I'm sure we can go without internet for a day or two till its fixed).

Jobs for today, cooker and microwave needs a bit of a clean and i might tackle the windows.

Have a great day all, stay safe (and dry).

    Morning all,

Not raining here :j, will try and get some washing on the line, I have loads to do after clearing dd's room.

I need to drop dd at work this morning, come back and do an hour or so in the office, tidy through the house, walk dog, and cook a roast. OH bought some meat from the market on sunday a huge bit of pork and a nice bit of lamb for £10, I have always been a bit wary of meat from the market, but its so much cheaper, so will give it a go. We are having half of the pork tonight.

Sistercas Happy Birthday to your DD  hope she has a fab day, yes is my dd's tomorrow, she is meeting the girls from college in the morning for a hot choc, then I shall meet her and have lunch and hit the shops, on Friday she is off out for the night with a group of friends and on Sat we have a big family meal, so a busy weekend.

So roast pork tonight with roasties, parships, and veg, looking forward to that.

    Have good days all xx

    Morning :hello:

Miss tru was sent home from work yesterday, she has a tummy bug. She's only been there two weeks so is worried about time off. But it's a dentist's surgery, there's no way she can be there. She seems a bit better this morning so hopefully will be back in tomorrow.

My crochet hooks arrived yesterday, all colourful and shiny :D I've been playing around with them and have managed a few wonky rows :D I've got a couple of jumpers which are a bit out of shape, I only wear them around the house. I'm tempted to unravel them......

Stern words are needed for master tru, he seems to think he has a maid

Today will be yoga, crochet, job hunting, finding somewhere to store all my candles and a bedroom rearrangement.

sistercas - Happy Birthday to your DD:bdaycake:

(((hugs))) to the poorly ones plus poorly pets too x x x

    Day off:j

off to get my hair cut then later it's lunch out with som eof my owrkmates followed by a staff meeting - not my choice of activity on a day off but I could do with a bit of TOIL.

Roads a bit better here. DH is hoping Tewkesbury doesn't get too bad as thats where all his Dairy's milk supplies come from.

WM on again. Trying to get on top of the laundry mountain - not helped by having to wash a lot of dog bedding - trying to keep Louie's bed as clean as possible in the cage while hge recovers from his op.

Ironing to do later plus I need to look in the freezer for something for tea.

Just had a visit from my sister for a coffee on her way to work:) we discussed Mum's christmas present - both of us have got her a magazine subscription each plus I suggested another girft for my sister to get her of notelets and a book of stamps as Mum likes to keep in touch with people up here since she moved to Devon. I've got Mum various small gifts in a giftbag which my uncle is taking down in December so she'll have things to open as well on the big day.

Best get on and do something. Have a great day all x

Morning all, hope you are all keeping well.
Birthday wishes for all who have a birthday coming up, it is scary to think about them all being grown up.I cannot get over how quickly it goes.

Hope no one has suffered to much with flooding. My sister is on flood alert , so could end up having some 'visitors' at some stage;)

Weather is horrid outside, was pouring in the night but is now that nasty drizzle so glad I haven't got any washing to do

The police have arrested the lad from uni:j. He put pics on twitter of well lets just say gay p orn and copied and pasted my sons head into them. I felt sick when I saw them, so they have been saved and will be given to the police here to be faxed ?? to the police in Swansea dealing with him. No charges have been brought yet but it is only a matter of time I feel.

Ds loves his new job, its hard work but rewarding he says. Will take a while getting use to the shifts but needs must, He isnt working this weekend so is off to Bradford to see his twin. Should be a nice break for him. So will be baking over the next couple of days so they have plenty of cookies and such . Have been posting cookies and cake that doesnt really break up in transit down to ds1 most weeks. Costing a fortune;)

Dinner is gammon , egg and chips . Nothing exciting but still scrummy and will bung a microwave treacle sponge in for pud.

    Have lovely days all xx
