'Recommended' solicitors are not at all biased to TW from my experience. If you've paid them to do proper searches and have read through the clauses in your contracts yourself , there isn't much to worry. End of the day, if there was anything mis-sold you can take them to the court. (i think?)0

Yes and he has pointed out things and conducted extra searches which he actually suggested to me. There was a flood risk in the first report. I am confident that the solicitor has acted in my best interests. I have also used him for my property sale so most of the total fee will be paid directly by me.0

I had my own suspicious using the recommended solicitor but they still have a legal code of practice to follow. I just found it made for a smoother transaction, they had knowledge of who to deal with, already had details of many answers I was likely to need, copies of searches and despite all that pursued a retainer for the road adoption. Given the choice again I'd definately go with the recommended solicitor, really really wish I had this time around.0
