They should grow back but it will be next year when they do as lilies only last a few days a week at most before the flower dies down.

I had this trouble last year but because my lilies are now spread out and sort of overgrown the pot many survived just a few heads got eaten.

Most of the snails seem to like the greenery too on the lilies.

I do find that going out on an evening with a good torch and a trowel is a good measure to kill the little blighter's

I have lost a lot of plants this year due to snails, slugs etc, maybe because I moved house rather than have pots, they seem to like marigolds and bussy lizzies. So now I cover all the plants with slug pellets and have been known to go out with a bright led torch at night and kill them

  • i has a massive problem with slugs munching away at my mums spinach and coriander!

a large plastic bottle of slug killer tablets from the local pound shop put an end to our problems, not sure how they affect other animals though!

  • Try washing up liquid in a spray bottle, it's meant to keep green fly away, but it seemed to work for slugs too, you do need to be spraying them a good few times a day though
A Life Less Simple - one day I'll get there
