Checked on the kipling website and it is 100% leather. I'm giving it a go.

So did my wife's. Until I reminded her that she doesn't have leather bags because they are heavy before she puts all her stuff (and my glasses, tablets, insulin etc) in.

    But......... :D

You do sometimes need a 'posh' leather bag for 'smarter' occasions

Don't worry - no-one here is under the illusion that they are anything but copies ;) However, for the price we think it's worth a punt.

I have to say sometimes the genuine ones are not of the quality I'd expect, and since the genuine ones are often made in China anyway it's not too far a stretch to suppose these may be made by people with the same skills (and possibly the same materials). They are cheap enough for some of us to feel it's worth buying one as a tester.

I have to agree the newer Kipling bags are not very good quality compared to the older ones. Way inferior

Looking back Snap Ant I see you did buy it. I'm looking forward to seeing it as the lining looked really cute and like you say the leather looks soft. I will have to wait a couple of days as I opted out of next day delivery with prime as DH will be home tomorrow LOL.
