oh no! clicked on this thread and now coveting a(nother) defea in the blue monkey/ flower print! and those chinese website prices are soooo tempting!

They are def copies. I just came back from Malaysia where I bought 6 for £9 each. Most monkeys are called "Andy". There were different qualities available, some good, some rubbish. Last year in Vietnam I got them for £6 each.

Don't worry - no-one here is under the illusion that they are anything but copies However, for the price we think it's worth a punt.

I have to say sometimes the genuine ones are not of the quality I'd expect, and since the genuine ones are often made in China anyway it's not too far a stretch to suppose these may be made by people with the same skills (and possibly the same materials). They are cheap enough for some of us to feel it's worth buying one as a tester.

Checked on the kipling website and it is 100% leather. I'm giving it a go.

Any issues with the kipling rubber logo on the front . I like the white monkey mania prints looking at some deafa do they do a bag in this print

So did my wife's. Until I reminded her that she doesn't have leather bags because they are heavy before she puts all her stuff (and my glasses, tablets, insulin etc) in.
