Snap - I can't use a 'used' bag.
Like you, I've been caught out. The bus ticket in pocket, grubby handle, stain across the back etc
I do complain & send photos, partial refunds I have accepted too.
But I have returned some ghastly ones.
Are these people blind when they list items as new?
The kept ones I tend to sell them on, after giving them a good wash & an honest description
I can't believe this - just received another Kipling from ebay (yes I KNOW I shouldn't buy so much, and to be honest this week has pretty much cured me of the ebay Kipling bug - I'm sticking with Amazon from now on).
This one was listed as new without tags, and in the write up it says 'never used'... so how come there are old receipts and Boots vouchers in two of the pockets AND a small mark on the front?? :mad:0 -

How hard is it to check the bloomin' pockets before you list something? I'm fuming - but to be fair that's probably because it's happened twice in the same week!
The first seller was lovely and I think she made a genuine mistake. This one has clearly been used, and the colour isn't retired or rare so I don't see any reason to umm and aahhh about keeping it. Will just email the seller and see what they say - but it's really sickened me of ebay0 -

No wonder you are annoyed. Very slapdash to just send stuff out like that - and then list it as new.
If you'd used a bag wouldn't you want to check it for yourself anyway? Yes make sure you get a decent refund - and the postage - you don't want to be out of pocket.
Makes me wonder when people list items as 'new but without tags' - how come they don't have them?
I always keep my tags and monkeys - but do say if I have used them a few times, then at least people know what they are getting - and really its a question of 'treat people how you'd want to be treated'.
Is definitely enough to put us off buying on Ebay though - as even with all the tags there's no guarantee they've not been used.Great opportunities to help others seldom come, but small ones surround us every day. -- Sally Koch0 -

I've always been a bit suspicious of 'new without tags' listings in the past - like you I'd wonder why they didn't have the tags if it was really new. I guess now I know
Normally I wouldn't even bid if it didn't have tags. I think I just got carried away this week and bid on 2 'new without tags', and they both turn out to be used. There's a lesson in this somewhere!0 -

Just wanted to say that I'm one of those people who rip the tag and cut the label out of clothes/bags etc as soon as I buy them BEFORE I've planned on wearing/keeping them
I don't know why I do it, I suppose it started when I'd buy stuff in the U.S to bring back here and cutting the labels out was a sure way not to be caught by customs. I still do it now when I buy stuff in the UK to bring back here to Spain as I always have too much stuff for my baggage allowance and every tag/label weighs something
I have SOOO much stuff that doesn't fit or isn't really me that I really should sell on Ebay. I would def list as new without tags. It's just the hassle of taking photos and listing everything. Isn't it really time consuming and in the end, is it really worth it?0 -
I really want the Delana... Struggling to pick between Peony and Print Flower. Does anyone have a photo of either colour (any bag) just so I can get an idea of what they really look like - I always find kipling colours never look the same as the photo although I've never been disappointed0

Oh gosh you are just an hour too late as I just posted my Duo back which had both colours. I love pinks and fuchsia but there was something not quite right for me about the Peony shade - but not quite sure what.
I would say the colours are quite true to life in this advert.Great opportunities to help others seldom come, but small ones surround us every day. -- Sally Koch0
