They are not in a weak position at all (and if you are going to threaten people with law then its best you are well versed on it else it can be construed as threatening behaviour, harrassment or blackmail), your grasp of the law is what is weak in this case.
If the mail is delievered to the address then unless intent to act to a persons detriment can be proved (good luck in that, unless its a spiteful ex and you have a recorded history of them intending to do so) then there is no violation of this law.
People aren't sniping, they are just giving the OP the true facts of what can be achieved.0 -
