I know I'm very fortunate in that I'm home all day with my dogs so they do have company. I can see elsien's point that a dog would be feeling a bit neglected with the long hours she works.
I have a cousin who works in a nursing home who is allowed to take her dog to work with her...it's regarded as the nursing home's resident pet and the elderly people adore it. Needless to say the dog's spoilt rotten but at least it's not left alone all day.0
