:jDEBT FREE!!!! :j
Just made the final payment on my credit card and I'm now debt free.
Had a really good week, sold loads of stuff on eBay, got one more item ending tonight, then lots more next weekend. Also made a good start on swagbucks, with enough sb for a £5 paypal payment so far, but I'm going to wait until the end of the month, see if I can get it up to £25.
So with the money left over from my weekly budget (I only spent £13.38 this week), and the money earnt from eBay, I've been able to put £47.24 into my "Little Luxuries Savings Pot", which can be used for things like days out, birthday / Christmas presents, or other expenses that don't fit in with the weekly budget.
Good week :j
Thanks for all the tips and support everyone.
Read all your posts but not posted before as you had enough good advice from my esteemed fellow posters
Just wanted to say a huge WELL DONE! You've taken control of your finances and are on the way to a much happier & secure financial future :T.

Had a really good weekend on eBay, everything has now been paid for and sent off and I've made over £100! That was a nice surprise as I wasn't expecting that much. Had a couple of people that paid cash so I've got money in my purse, which should get me through the week without actually dipping into my weekly budget in the bank. Also paid the last bit of interest from when I was using the overdraft on my main current account, and I've still managed to put £63.51 into the 'Little Luxuries' savings account.
More eBay items ending this weekend but I'm not expecting very much, there's nothing worth a great deal, just wanted to make some space. Will list more on Friday as I keep finding things that I don't use anymore and adding them to the pile.
I've made a little wish list of things that I would like to save up for, only a few things on it so far but it's nice to have something to aim for.
Hope you all have a lovely weekIf you don't like where you are - move. You are not a tree.0 -
Well Done on the Ebaying!!!
There was a no listing fee weekend just passed, but I didn't have my photos ready. Will be photoing them this week ready for the next free listing weekend.
Looks like you have already reached this months targets- you will find it a lot easier now w/o any debt. May have to raise your targets lol.0 -
Hello,
Well I've managed to get through the whole week with just the cash in my purse, so my £40 weekly budget has been moved over into my 'little luxuries' savings pot, giving me total savings of £103.51
Haven't been able to do my normal weekly shop as the roads near us are very slippy at the moment and I don't fancy crashing the car. I ordered online with ASDA, who should have delivered today, but they have called and said that they won't be able to deliver until Tuesday, which is a bit of a pain as I've run out of bread and fresh fruit, but they have given me free delivery and offered to take £10 off my bill. I took the opportunity to order 6 boxes of Huggies while they're on offer (2 for £14 instead of nearly £12 each), so I'm hoping they're still in stock when they deliver my order. I also got £7.07 by going through Top Cash Back, so overall it could be a fairly cheap shopping trip:
Shopping Total: £86.19 (free delivery)
- Multibuy Savings: £30.38
- Goodwill Discount: £10.00
- Top Cash Back: £7.07
- Total Cost - £38.71 - Saving £47.48
Unfortunately I will be spending a bit more than usual topping up at the corner shop (much more expensive and not very many cheap options), but at least I'm using up everything in the freezer.
Sold a couple more bits & pieces on eBay, not worth a lot though, and I'll be leaving the money in my paypal account to cover my eBay invoice for this month. Did have a mini success though, sold a BNWT t-shirt that cost £2 for £3.60 + p&p
I've also up-ed the 'No Spend Day' target from 10 to 15 as I've got to 12 already.
Hope to have another good week, got a night out planned at the weekend (first in aaaages) so I'll be scrimping and saving to have some pennies to take with me.
See you all again next weekIf you don't like where you are - move. You are not a tree.0 -

The window cleaner came round today asking for money, I'm pretty sure he hasn't cleaned the windows in the snow. I've been in constantly for a few days and hadn't seem him until he wanted paying. I paid up but asked him not to come back, told him I can't afford it at the moment. Saved myself £3 per week.If you don't like where you are - move. You are not a tree.0

I've read your whole post tonight. Well done, you.
It's given me some ideas and just discussed with OH. We get Feb and Mar as non-council tax payments so have decided to put the money into his credit card to help bring down the balance and hopefully, have it paid off sooner.
Going to try the no spend days - think 2 a week to start with and take it from there.0
