It sounds like you would be able to see your child almost as often if you took the job, and would potentially be far happier and able to spend your time together having better fun. Doesn't sound selfish to me! You could always move to the new city without moving in with the new man, so as to take things one at a time and keep the pressure off the new relationship.0

Why is the op different to a father if he wanted to move though?
I've seen posts about NRP's (men) who have moved, but there is never any suggestion that they shouldn't go.
It's usually a case of "something can be worked out", never "don't go"! What would be better, the NPR moving, being happy and working contact out, or an NRP who stays and is resentful for wasting an opportunity?
I don't think thats true Marisco - I think theres always replies saying the Father shouldn't move far away from their child. And in an ideal world, that would work for everyone involved. But we're not living in an ideal world, so we have to do whats best for everyone, considering the children too of course as high priority.0
