Parking Control Management (UK) Ltd at Bluewater

Can anyone shed any light on this company? They issued me a ticket whilst I was parked at Bluewater, I of course appealed, and of course it was rejected. I was sent the POPLA paperwork but am wondering whether I should just ignore the whole lot of it?
I parked in error on one of the hatched spaces which was an honest mistake as I didn't see the markings until I came back to the car. I was issued with a £75.00 ticket. I explained that it was a genuine mistake, the fee was disproportionate as parking is free at Bluewater, and that the particular space caused no obstruction or hazard to pedestrians, other vehicles, etc etc. I got sent photos of my car parked in the space, and in the background was the parking company's van....in a hatched space!!! They said that the space was hatched to ease congestion, and loads of other waffle......but should I swallow it or ignore it?
Many thanks for some advice

Well you could appeal to popla and it will cost the parking company £32.40 , if it goes in favour of them you can ignore it as its not binding on you. If it goes they must drop it. If you want to go there let us know and we can give a better defence than the one you have already. Remember this is not binding on you at all. There is an increased chance that they may try the small claimsExcel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0 -

I visit Bluewater regularly. The hatched space is so that vehicles exiting can see clearly. I've seen a few accidents where cars have pulled out because they had no vision and collided.
Whilst I feel that you can ignore the ticket/POPLA decision, you are still a selfish driver that thinks of themself rather than walk an extra 100ft.The man without a signature.0 -

What part of honest mistake and did not see hatching, did you not understand?
People are far to quick to judge people that they no nothing about. Here's a novel idea, how about taking the OP at face value until you have evidence to the contrary?0 -

If you go to the debt free wannabe forum you can see a sticky by Martin Lewis, he gives his reasons for setting up this website, he also asks that people not judge people, we are not in a position to do so, as a regular on mse it would be helpful if you give newbies a chance instead of being critical and possibly chasing a user away from here.Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. I dont visit bluewater regularly, mainly because it is full of people like you.
OP just ignore the PPC and the poster above, they may as well be one and the same..Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!0 -
Flame me if you must but I stand by what I have said: Ignore the PPC and be more considerate where you park in future.Plushchris wrote: »I dont visit bluewater regularly, mainly because it is full of people like you.
Actually I hate Bluewater. I take the missus, refuse to go around with her and sit in a coffee shop for a few hours with a paper. Why do I hate it? Because it's a walking TOWIE advert - all ME ME ME ME ME. The same sort of ME people who dump their cars on pedestrian walkways and hatched areas and saunter in. If I have been harsh to the OP then I apologise. The man without a signature.0 -
Do you know what? I come on to this website looking for help and advice....why do people feel the need to be nasty and personal in their replies? VIKINGAERO, I do not appreciate being called a selfish driver, I parked in the space IN ERROR, and for your info, I was at the back of the car park, so I hadnt parked there to be lazy.0
