My email to Tesco this morning.

I have to say, Tesco's stock control is pretty awful in all the branches in my area.
A few years ago, Sainsbury's (of which I'm no particular fan) were being lambasted in the business press for stock control issues but if my experience is anything to go by, they are now consistently more likely to have the items I want.
Given Tesco's poor image and performance in recent months, senior management needs to get a grip - and fast.0 -

I was in your store this morning between 10.00 and 10.17 hrs.You had no large bottles of San Pelligreno Water, you had no Rizla liquorice papers, and the self service check out "which only takes debit cards" did not work. Not even your pointless male operative could make it work.I therefore waited at the checkout for 10 minutes until I could escape your store to go to The Cooperative and Lidl to finish my shopping. This is the third time in weeks that you have had an "Out of Stock" of items that I regularly buy and I am coming to the rapid conclusion that you are telling me to go and shop elsewhere.
If you paid half as much attention to your supply chain, and the small details in your Chepstow store as you do to constant promotional activity there would be no problem. But you just don't seem to be able to do it.
I am NOT a happy bunny at all.Especially as I have to pay more for small bottles of water because you have no large ,and extra for petrol to go to The Cooperative for cigarette papers.
Oh and yes my wife is suffering from the aftereffects of chemotherapy hence the water she particularly likes. So as you would say "Every little helps".Not with me it doesn't."
:mad::mad::mad::mad:
(a) Ran out of fizzy water and ciggy papers because they didn't plan ahead any buy sufficient supplies on their last visit.
(b) Had to queue for 10 minutes at a checkout to pay for some other items.0 -

Oddly enough I went to the Co-Op yesterday to buy some sultanas. Guess what? No sultanas! I had to go to Tesco instead. I thought about sending Co-Op Central Command a strongly worded email but decided life was too short....Personally, I can see T being the 4th of the Big 4 within 2 years. Morrisons taking over T!!
Very, very unlikely. Out of the big 4, Morrisons is doing the worst at the moment; its sales are actually falling.0 -

Me too, went into Lidl and they had no fresh Moroccan strawberries! what the hell???, the audacity! I have faxed head office with a fiercely worded complaint demanding the store be bulldozed into the ground for this failure.
Seriously Tesco, I don't get it anyway its not cheap, the food is made from the very cheapest, lowest grade ingredients sucked from the bone marrow of road kill and pumped with salt, sugar and water. If they ever went bust the life expectancy of the population would rise by 10 years. I do like the clothes though, sometimes when I can get over the guilt of the person making the £3 jeans for 1p a day.0 -
Altogether now:

Having worked in retail for many years I always try my very best to be polite to the unfortunate person whose job it is to man the customer service desk that day. I've had to endure screaming tirades from foul mouthed people with a brain the size of a walnut, patronising tirades from people with delusions of intellectual and social superiority and tirades from the frankly unrealistically entitled. The OP's post ticks many of these boxes and if I'd been on the end of the phone I'd have mouthed a few apologies, hit Delete on the computer report after I'd put the phone down and moved on with my day. Not worth a rat's !!!! tbh. If he'd come on with a worthwhile complaint on the other hand and kept his tone civil I'd have given the same apologies but also passed the complaint on to the store manager and also offered a gift voucher for a modest sum in apology.
I keep this in mind when I'm making my own complaints. Not because I'm after a gift voucher I may add, but to to make sure my complaint has the best chance of being dealt with in a satisfactory manner when I leave the desk. I also don't make pointless complaints just because I'm feeling ratty about some normal situation. Life really is too short to get worked up about nothing, on the other hand when you do make a complaint you want it dealt with in a professional and courteous manner so you set the tone from the start. Surely?Val.0 -

I'm sorry but people like you really get my back up, just because I don't drive an expensive car and have designer clothes does not mean I am a thief!
If you are a thief you're not a good one or you would have the expensive car and designer clothes by now.0
