The cashback site will state what evidence you need to supply, it's normally a copy of the receipt and a serial number.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
  • When I recently did the Samsung cashback they state you need to send proof of purchase (I did a scan and submitted as a jpeg) and not just a delivery note (unless from Sainsbury's)

You should note that you cannot claim until 30 days since purchase date has elapsed and before 45 days since purchase - basically you've got 15 days to claim online. You'll notice that if you go through the cashback online form it only lets you select a batch of purchase dates.

Littlewoods must be able to provide some proof of purchase if asked?

For the TAbs and Note 10.1 you can claim after 15 days up to 60 days.

The only exceptions to needing a receipt/invoice are as above Sainsburys or Tesco from who they will accept the confirmation e-mail.

I thought Littlewoods always put slips in with orders, contact them and ask for a receipt/invoice. I would have thought your monthly invoice would count.
  • hi thanks for replies , i was suprised there was no invoice but it is on monthly statement so i will email samsung and see if thats enoughthanks again for replies.

Ooh you're right about the 15-60 day claim time - this has changed since I got mine back in Sept 2012 where you only had a 15 day window to claim after 30 days from purchase.

I bought mine from Asda but Samsung would not accept the receipt as proof of purchase. They insisted on an invoice, so I phoned Asda and they were brilliant, they did me an an 'invoice' using the receipt number and Samsung accepted it. I think they were just making it difficult for me to claim the cash back... It took over 3 months to get it though.
  • Yes, it's almost like Samsung don't want to make it too easy to get the cashback :rotfl:

  • people that have done the claim online, can i ask what your confirmation email said? just received mine & it states "Thank you for submitting your claim for the Samsung Back To College offer. Your online claim is now complete." Which is somewhat confusing as i didn't complete the claim for the back to college offer??

just checked the site again to see if i did pick the wrong option, no, definitely chose "galaxy tab 2, purchase after 24.10.12".
  • Did anyone ever work out how to claim when you have bought from Littlewoods as I am having the same problem, I wrote to littlewoods and got this reply

Thanks for your email requesting proof of purchase.
Unfortunately we do not have access to the requested information., however we can send you a proof of purchase to verify that you bought your item from Littlewoods.

and all they did was write below my name and address and the product name catalogue number and price absolutely no use as proof
  • Finally managed to complete steps 1 …. 10 after many failures …… Hooray!
No Email therefore no claim ID no
Calls to the [No] Help Line result in a long and expensive wait.
I reached number one in the Q but then got the ‘We cannot take your call’ message followed by cut off.
Calls to Opia are not answered!
Conclusion ….. Samsung have hired a bunch of unprincipled confidence tricksters who are minimising payouts on the cashback offer and recovering as much money as they can from telephone calls whilst using devious methods to bar the majority of claims.
Samsung need to investigate their puppet company !
Samsung should have their Royal Warrant removed!
That will be real good advertising
