Poor Luna, I know how she feels:D

Just back from town and have done a list of fridge and freezers. Only 12 days until we go away so trying to eat up what we have and empty the fridge, freezer.
Bought some shoes that are lovely but look totally wrong with the dress, so back they go oh um
Just about to tuck into my salad then a couple of Cinzano and diet lemonades and snuggle in front of the fire.

  • Evening all.

Kids tea was a bit if a disaster. The pizza cheese was mouldy. It was still in date till tues. I wanted to keep the bases and they were already in the oven being part cooked. The bases wouldn't come off the oven trays.
Anyway the older 2 had cheese on toast and the toddler had ham and cheese pasta.

Got caught by a door to door salesman as well. Spent £25. Gt an ironing board covet, that I needed. Then some drain unblocked wire things and some J cloths. I never normally answer the door but was waiting for my Boots order so opened the door. Gah.

    Rip pippin x

    Hope Luna gets better soon

    Best wishes all

Know what you mean about company in the bathroom! Someone likes to lick the bottom half of my legs dry when I get out of the shower.

Dinner tonight was Mince with lentils in the the SC. I had it with Cauli Cheese and Mash LO from other night, and DH & Skye had it with Spaghetti, she loves pasta.

(((hugs))) to all the poorlies and pets

I've had a fab day at work. Today we took my work kids to a local, yet big, insurance company for the day for them to find out what it is like to work there. It had taken a lot of networking to arrange this so I was a little nervous in case it went wrong. But it was a brilliant day! My work kids were so well behaved :D. We had a talk about the company, then a tour of their building and they got to sit in with a staff member and listen to live calls, then we had a chat about the recruitment process. After lunch we had a chat about what they expect from employees and their competencies. It was so informative, but they delivered it in a way that was so approachable for my work kids. The company is one of the biggest employers in the area, and now at least 4 of my work kids want to work for them. So the day was very beneficial as beforehand noneof them wanted to work in a call centre!

I went for a jog when I got home, and it poured down halfway through! But I kept going. Just having a chilled evening in tonight.

OS wise - WM been on and is drying on radiators, veg curry made with YS veg pack and Tesco value curry sauce - four portions so 15p curry portion! Rest will be frozen.

    Have a good evening all

Molly, sorry to hear about Pippin.
We've just got in, we went straight from work to the local Harvester, the Mansion House in Prospect Park, food was ok, but the service was slow.
I received another beautiful bouquet today, this one from my kids, the one from hubby is pinks, creams & mauves, The one from the kids is red, burgundy & white.
We had a boiler problem today, so it was freezing at work today, still, home now, stuffed full of food & wrapped in a quilt.
DGD has just started gym club & loves it, my darling hubby is paying for it & buying her uniform.
    Have a good evening everyone.
    Hugs Hester

  • Good evening everyone had a smashing day first with DD Shelley she is so much brighter than she was and has come to terms with the fact that if she doesn't rest then she will be laid up for longer :) whilst she was here my lovely big brother Davy phoned me from France where he lives and is coming over for a week next Saturday, which is great as its Shelley's birthday on Sunday I am so pleased as he really sounded more like his old self, bright and chirpy and full of beans .Bearing in mind that in the past two years since he was over here he has had a heart bypass and just finished ten months chemo for leukemia abou two months ago.bless him he was laughing and joking and spoke to Shelley and said he is looking forward to getting around to see us all whilst he is here.I asked him what he was up to and he said he was rewiring a house for one of the english folk over there, not bad for an old codger of 72.It was so nice to hear him more like his old self ,he is such a tough little fighter and it cheered Shelley and I up no end to hear him.
History club this afternoon and we examined Charles dickens and his life and really enjoyed it.Then home to my DGS house until their Mum came in at 6.15 an early one for her.
I'm just going to have some HM soup and a sandwich for supper tonight as I'm not that hungry at the moment. But a great day at JackieO Towers and I can't stop smiling at the thought of Davy coming next week
    Cheers chums :):):):)

    Get well soon Luna! x

    RIP Pippin :(

Louie has had his check up. He's had to put the lampshade back on as he's been licking it - naughty doggie but it looks ok the vet said. Cant wait till he's had his stitches out and we're back to normal. He's looking very glum now sitting with his lampshade on!

Washing and ironing done, although plenty more for the washer tomorrow.

Work all weekend for me but am off to The Tattoo in Birmingham tomorrow with work so it's not all bad!:)

Have a great weekend all x
