    Hi all,

Love and hugs to all having a 'pants' time including pets x

2nd load in WM, shopping done, prezzies to wrap and beds to be stripped. And one extemely smelly dog to bath - he,s an old man now 15 years old, which apparently is good for a Westie.

Hope everyone survived the bad weather yesterday, thoughts are with the family of the poor chap that died.

Its beautiful here today, even had to hunt out my sunglasses....

Chilled weekend planned, but will have to do a freezer audit, as I am fed up with playing freezer tetris everytime I need something - only bought the essentials this morning at Mr S (apart from the 12 bottles of wine for christmas 3 for £12, plus 25% off) also got 10p. Off a litre of fuel which will come in handy.

Just having a coffee before donning my bio--hazard suit for the dog bath.

Have a fab day all xx

Though you may like to have a smile. Couldn't resist this

Q: Doctor, I've heard that cardiovascular exercise can prolong life. Is this true?
A: Heart only good for so many
beats, and that it... Don't waste on exercise. Everything wear out eventually.
Speeding up heart not make you live longer; it like saying you extend life of
car by driving faster. Want to live longer? Take nap.

Q: Should I reduce my alcohol
    intake?
A: Oh no. Wine made from fruit. Fruit very good. Brandy distilled wine, that mean they take water out of fruity bit so you get even more
of goodness that way. Beer also made of grain. Grain good too. Bottom up!

Q: How can I calculate my body/fat ratio?
A: Well, if you have body and you have fat, your ratio one to one. If you have two body, your ratio two to one.

Q: What are some of the advantages of
participating in a regular exercise program?
A: Can't think of one, sorry. My philosophy: No pain...good!

Q: Aren't fried foods bad for you?

A: YOU NOT LISTENING! Food fried in vegetable oil. How getting more vegetable be bad?

Q : Will sit-ups help prevent me from getting a little soft around the middle?
A: Oh no! When you exercise muscle,
it get bigger. You should only be doing sit-up if you want bigger stomach.

Q: Is chocolate bad for me?
A: You crazy?!? HEL-LO-O!! Cocoa bean! Another vegetable! It best feel-good food around!

Q: Is swimming good for your figure?
A: If swimming good for figure, explain whale to me.

Q: Is getting in shape important for my lifestyle?
    A: Hey! 'Round' is shape!

Well... I hope this has cleared up any misconceptions you may have
    had about food and diets.

    And remember:
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but
rather to skid in sideways - Chardonnay in one hand - chocolate in the other -
body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a
    ride!!"

OS later. back to the sun. DG

    Hi all

Sunshine this morning, so hopefully Dylan will fancy a little trundle out in a bit. He's a real couch potato; but he's nearly 12 years old, as well as being mainly Greyhound, so it's understandable! :o

Dylan and I hope poor Luna is OK, and Jack, and that Louie is recovering nicely from his op. Oh, and how are Jodie and Maud? And Little Dog?

Butterfly Brain many thanks for the link on yesterday's thread;:A I've bookmarked it, Mr LW can take a look either tonight or over the weekend.;)

Nmlc I hate it when medical bods are running late; it gives you all that waiting time to get nervous, as well as wasting time sat there that you could have put to better use.

Esses girl that sounds like a good decision re your client; if they're that much of a pain, it gets to the point where it's not worth it. I remember Mr LW telling me, years ago, when he worked for an engineering company, they deliberately tendered a very high price to one company, because they honestly did not want the contract, but for reasons I don't know, they needed to actually tender something; but the company in question would have been far more trouble than they were worth, apparently.

Islandmaid I know what you mean about Freezer Tetris; I play this on a regular basis! Luckily I know what drawer everything is in, as I have a spreadsheet with the information on. Nut loaf for us tonight, which means a forage in the back of Drawer Three.:D

Joints/muscles remain extremely painful. Something ain't right - just lifting the coffee pot causes the muscles in the top of my arm to really hurt.:( Oh well, I dare say it'll resolve itself in the fullness of time.:o

I shall be doing rice and HM sweet'n'sour sauce with our nut loaf for dins, so that's easy enough to do; and I've scheduled egg'n'chips for tomorrow, which Mr LW can make.;):D
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

    Morning all,

Nmlc my dentist is pretty good time wise but my GP's practice is a different matter. Still, i dont mind waiting if i feel that my own treatment hasnt been rushed. I'm lucky i dont have to fit in with kids and tight schedules these days but i have in the past.

    Vacuumed upstairs
    Wet wiped upstairs
    Cleaned laminate flooring upstairs
    Vacuumed stairs
    Vacuumed downstairs
    Wet wiped/cleaned surfaces downstairs
    Cleaned kitchen floor
Got the meat out for our evening meal (but thats as far as ive got)
I celebrated my achievement by having a bath. Ive been having showers lately but i much prefer a bath.

I had company...... I didnt get to use the bath mat though :D

Love the picture Judi. I often have a wee with two doggies in tow

Sad day here as my parent's very old boy westie Pippin died last night at the grand old age of 17. He died very peacefully but still very sad especially for my children as they grew up with him:cry:

Hugs for a good day and hope Luna feels better soon.

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
  • Good afternoon everyone :)

Gosh mad day here, haven't stopped since I got into work at 7.15am and have just sat down for some lunch.

Weather was terrible last night and it took us 3 hours to get home due to an accident on the motorway. It's lovely today but hear that we are going to be battered with more rain and gales over the weekend.

HM soup being eaten at the moment and spaghetti puttanesca for dinner. Planning on cleaning, shopping and a batch cook tomorrow as am working Sunday.

DH's cold is on the mend and he is a day ahead of me so I hope to be feeling better tomorrow.

Must dash as there is still lots to do before we finish at 3.15pm. Well wishes for all sick people and pets and hugs for those who need or just want them. Have a super day :)

  • Afternoon all x

Jackie, glad your floor is done. Had the man to read my meters the other day. Had to removes lot of stuff for him to see them. Oops! Hope your daughter is better soon. x

Forever saving, get well soon x

Beemuzed, all the best to your dh x. Oh and Nevermind your tumble dryer! I once paid £30 for so done t tell me t defrost my freezer. :b in my defence, it's a frost free freezer and I had no idea that they had to be defrosted every so often. It hadn't been done since I'd got it. 12 years ago!

Nmlc, it does irritate me when people run behind like that. My gp always shows up 10-15 mins late. So she's late before she's begun and then she is very slow! I hope you're not in too much pain now x

Miffy ,hope your dog is ok x

Essex girl, nice to "see" you x. Glad you're rid of that client x Where do you do your boot sales to?

Tappers and Bitsy, hope your dogs are also ok x

Right, my lunch is ready, I shall do more later x

    Judi love the pic.:o

Molly I have an assortment of "chaperones" for the loo; I never shut the door right up, as it takes me a month of Sundays to turn the handle to open it again, so they can just push the door open.:o They always seem to come in at bath-time, too; ever tried soaking in the bath, and having a canine come along and start licking soap off you?:D
Sorry to hear about your parents' Westie; even if he was very old, and it was a peaceful transition, it's still sad. Sleep well, Pippin.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
