I noticed you said you use the AA for break down and as people have said it's pretty important to have breakdown. However can I suggest you read this http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/cgi-bin/viewnews.cgi?newsid1094823518,14076, to save yourself a fortune on breakdown.
Also check this for MOTs http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/cgi-bin/viewnews.cgi?newsid1126540795,61463,0 -
Thanks for your encouraging comments. I will be continuing to post on here if only for the fact that it focuses my mind, like the weigh-in at Weightwatchers!!
I can't believe how excited I feel about shaving one month off my estimated Debt-free Day!!0 -
First post of 2007 and I'm determined to keep on with my battle to be debt free. Its taking a long time but now I'm beginning to see the debt reducing I can't wait to owe less than £10K.
One of the best things is that when catastrophe strikes, such as the catalytic converter falling out my car (last week), I'm not in complete despair any more, I'm managing to budget for the little disasters and still pay the monthly amount I want off my credit cards.

When my head recovers from the excess wine, I will do my annual check up on my bills to see if I can beat the cost of any of my utilities.
Also, looking for a new credit card to transfer what will be left on the GOSH CC in March - think I'll give Sainsburys a try, only 5 months interest free but - every penny counts.
Good luck to any new Debt Free Wannabees who join this year x0 -
Oh no, been refused the Sainsburys CC - anyone know of any other 0% free BT credit cards I can try?0

I've applied for a new credit card with Ulster Bank but haven't heard anything yet. Getting a little worried that I may not find a card to transfer my balance to come 23rd March.
However, happily watching my debt reduce so need to keep positive about how much interest I've avoided paying over the years.0 -
DD, you are doing so well, not least in pure plongevity and determination!
Big pat on the back :-) Not sure where you can go on 986 airmiles!Debt free 4th April 2007.
New house. Bigger mortgage. MFWB after I have my buffer cash in place.0
