Two letters from Ulster Bank this morning. First saying they are considering my application for a CC and will be in touch shortly. They second had a pin number in it!!
Yay, can only assume I've been approved and now waiting to find out the credit limit.
Any limit at all is good news but hopefully it will be at least £5K.
Thanks for your kind words and encouragement Emmzi. Don't think my airmiles will get me anywhere exotic but it may pay for a day out for me and my son during a school holiday.0 -
Boo - only got £2500 limit and only allowed to BT £2000. I know I should be grateful for any amount that's at 0% but I needed a bit more really. Now I've got to come up with a plan B.
1. Do I apply for a 0% and pay a transfer fee (Morgan Stanley Buy and Fly)?
0r
2. Do I try for a 3.9% 'life of balance like M&S?0 -

TBH I'd be inclined to go for a LOB. 0%'s are becoming rarer, too many searches causes problems, the BT amounts seem to be getting lower and it costs every time you have to move. I'd focus on the fact that 3.9% is a h*ll of a lot lower than 16.9%, transfer over as much as I could and then you can stop stressing over next 0% end date.
You're making superb progress, well done!!!!!:T :T :T :TA positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

Fantastic - this mornings post has just arrived and I've managed to get a Morgan Stanley CC - 0% for 9 months but with a 2% BT fee per BT capped at £50 per transfer.
It's going to cost me £100 to transfer but will save me about £400 in the end so well worth it.
I'm going to do my best not to need another BT card - it will mean trying to pay off all my credit cards by 21st December 2007 - but seeing as though that's my birthday, it will be a great birthday present to myself.
GOSH card will now be paid off this month after transferring part of it to Morgan Stanley and sent back, transferring the majority of the Post Office card to Morgan Stanley - just need to cut back a bit more and I WILL be credit card debt free by my birthday!!0 -
Just spent an hour researching my car insurance renewal costs. Managed to save £50.99 by buying from Simple Cover through Quidco!0
-
Damn! - searched around for cheapest car insurance - great! except had to use all my savings to pay for it...what happens then? I get a fault with my water boiler and it's cost me £107 to get it repaired. Going to have to cut back to cover the costs of that or have another sort out and sell some stuff on E-Bay,. Doesn't something always trip you up just when you think things are going to plan?0
