Hi Steph, just dropping in to say hi!
I finally set up a new diary. Attempted this on Friday but got hit by some technology gremlins!
Sounds like you've got the Christmas presents under control. I agree with the other posters: I don't remember the presents I got for Christmas for the most part, just the traditions we were making for the family.
It may be another issue of not having one nearby, but pound shops can be good for stocking stuffers. Certainly if I was in charge of stockings (thankfully my DM is all over that already, it's really her thing) that would be my first stop.
Actually, stockings are my favorite bit of the Christmas presents. I'd be happy with no other presents, as long as I got my stocking. Maybe that's a credit to how good my mum is at doing them!Total debt: [STRIKE]£9473.62[/STRIKE] £7,384.87 22% PAIDTAF #25 NSD 8/12 | Food £43.45/£50 | eBay 0/20 | Exercise 5/18:T Proud to be Dealing with my Debt :TDFD: June 20150 -

Morning all,
Hope everyone is having a good week so far. I have a quiet day today, so will make a list below to make sure I get stuff done instead of sitting here all day.
Tidy up breakfast mess
Clean Bathrooms
Bake Cake
Have a proper look at some survey & Cashback sites.
Condition & brush out new Sheepskins (Long Story)
My Spreadsheet for December is frightening. We will pay all the bills if I don't stray off my budget by £1 .
Trouble is, I have allocated £30 for misc xmas spending and £70 for Xmas food shop. Am I going to be able to do it????.
Hubby has some little electrical jobs that need to be done and have been trying to persuade him to do them on a Saturday so that we get some extra cash. He popped up and fixed somebodies boiler one night in the week and earnt £40 :T, I wish I had that earning capability, I would be working every hour.
I guess thats the downside with not making hubby completely aware of the financial situation. He knows we are tight and are high in the Overdraft and have a big credit card, but I haven't seen the point of stressing him with the Grand total. Oh well.
What has everyone got planned for today?
Of to make a strong coffee to get me started xxx0 -

Haha morning LurvlyLoz,
Still sat here, I am such a lazy moo.
Off to go and get meat out of freezer for tonights dinner. I always leave it too late and then have a big defrosting challenge at 5pm .
Just discovered a fabulous phone thing called Truecall. It blocks nusiance callers and can also ask for the name of the caller before it calls you and tells you who is calling, so you can choose to accept it or not. Wow......Only snag is its nearly £100 :eek:.
Think I will be putting up with sales caller for a while longer at that price. What a shame..0 -
i just let hubs answer the phone and field the calls. no where near £100!!!Facing up to things - nov 2012 total 9334.95

Hi Steph,
Looks like you have a busy day planned. Good that you have a budget for Christmas it's suprising what you can manage on when you try, I find a budget stops me buying the rubbish that I really don't need
Good luck with the sheepskins :rotfl:

Hi Linz,
Thanks for those ideas, haven't tried Maximiles or gratis points.
I hate Facebook so could'nt bear to try that one. Think we might end up going back to advertising every other week, that will at least half the cost of the advertising. necessary evil unfortunately xx0 -
Hi Steph just caught up on your diary.
I have every confidence in you that you will be able to stick to your budget and get those big bills paid n December.
How are yo getting on with baking your DD's birthday cake. I would love to bake, but sadly I'm hopeless a it!0
