How have I got here so early?
By accident. I came into my 'office' to pick something up and from habit switched the 'puter on.
It's not raining at the moment and there is only a slight breeze so perhaps the dire weather warnings are not for us. I only have a few errands today so will try to get out before anything nasty happens.
Also have to clean up the diningroom, now used as the Open Arms store room. The gas inspector cometh tomorrow and we only have one gas fire and it's hiding behind half a ton of tinned and bottled goods. You can't even walk across the floor as the contents of the last 2 Harvest Festivals are still waiting to be sorted out and packed away.
Then there is two days of Flylady jobs to do.
Thankfully I still have half of Tuesday's chicken cobbler in the fridge, so only vegetables to prepare for lunch. No pudding for us slimmers - there's yoghurt in the fridge and fruit in the bowl.
Hugs for anyone who needs a hug, and for anyone who just fancies one without any particular reason.
BB: Your tale about the vet reminds me of the old story of the plumber who mended a housholder's water stoppage by banging hard on the side of the tank, and asked for £50. When the HH objected he was presented with a bill that said,
For banging the side of the tank.........50p.
For knowing where to bang.........£49.50p
As a solicitor once said to me, "I'm not paid for what I do, I'm paid for what I know."
I suppose it's the same for vets.

Hello all, hope everyone is well.
In work at mo and its quiet so think new martina book will come out soon. Lunch will be the same as yesterday unfortunately. I went to sw last night but had only lost 1 lb which I was a bit disappointed with so I ended up not staying to group which I guess is a bit daft as I've paid for it but tbh I feel a bit uncomfortable there. It was only my 2nd weigh-in and I haven't stayed for either session afterwardsso no idea where I'm going wrong. I have 3 more weigh-ins already paid for and then I won't go again, will try and do it by myself. I ended up having a bowl of cereal for tea last night because I'm sick to death of salad!
Spoke to my mum last night and found out she was ill, so annoyed that she hadn't told me before. She thinks it may be something to do with her gall bladder as she is in alot of pain but won't be seeing the doctor until Monday. I'm not sure she should wait this long so I'm going off there to see her tomorrow when I don't work. Will get her to do a list for shopping so I can get that done for them as they no longer drive.
My dd2 is off to Barcelona on a 'needed' college trip for study and informed me last night that she needed another £100 for food, travel around the place and museum fees which is annoying. They didn't tell me of any extra costs when I said she could go so now have to find this for next week. Its a good job the freezer is still reasonably full as I won't be shopping for me tomorrow I think.
Weather here today is not bad at all, we had a little sun earlier and now it is just dull but more rain coming this afternoon so they say. As long as it has stopped by 6.30 when I go home I don't mind.
Have a lovely day all.

Morning all and good wishes to those who are poorly. Especially Molly, rotten having to miss a course.
Wet and windy here, have to go out in it to do a food shop and then visit my son for lunch.
Have hoovered and tidied (ish) the lounge and got a wash on. Need to change my bed and should really hoover upstairs too.
I have no idea what I am going to eat today as the HM soup I made gave me some very very antisocial side effects and indigestion so not that! Will have a sandwich with son and then see what's cheap for tonight and the weekend when I get to the shops.
The meeting yesterday was very productive, but some of the tales of what had happened to people's loved ones (a group of carers at the meeting) were absolutely heart breaking. Has left me feeling very low and helpless.

Morning all,
An early start today as DD2 is full of cold, DGD3 aged 13 months has fluid on her right lung and an ear and throat infection so I had to take DGD2 to school. Dr. can't give DGD3 anything as it's a viral infection so she's dosed up with Calpol.
I'm doing some shopping for them and will cook them dinner, pork steaks, brocc & cauli cheese and pots. I've got a hm choc sponge they can have for pud with custard (not hm)
I've got their washing whirling away as SiL2b needs clean work clothes. It will have to go in td as it's tipping it down, DH and I put some bags of sand at the front door as we had a torrent streaming past our cottage. The river behind us has burst the banks so the fields are now lakes. More heavy rain due, eek!
Managed to wrap 35 crimble presents y/day and reduce the ironing pile, arrgh, just realised I'll have to iron DD's washing so I can take it back after collecting DGD3 from playschool. oh well needs must.
Right... off to brave the weather and go shopping.
((((Hugs)))) to all in need. Hope it's a good day for all.0 -
Morning all,
Hope the poorlies dogs are better soon, can't believe how expensive the vets are:eek:
BB you sound more positive today, enjoy your peace later.
I was planning a trip into town for shoes today but I am so stiff from running think I will have a rest, maybe write some Christmas cards.
I ran for 30 mins on the treadmill last night as the weather was so dire. I still enjoyed it though.
So going to have a hot bath before I do anything else.
Managed another pound of at WW last night. I only have two more weigh ins before our hols, but will have manage the two stone goal I set myself.
Pulled some mince out yesterday so tea tonight will be tater ash for the boys. Not my cup of tea so I will have something else.
Hugs and spoons all round J xStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

Morning all,
Foreversaving my husband had the steroid injections last week. He says they will have to knock him out next time.:o He had to hobble round the building site for a day or two but so far so good.
Redruby whenever we go to the vets we always end up with a bill no less than £50. Thing is, not having dogs before we tend to end up at the vets quite often for silly things that the vet doesnt need to treat.... but never mind, we always end up with extra flea or worm treatment that we dont really need yet. Where the dogs are concerned neither of us are very good at saying no.:(
Nmlc hope all goes well at the dentist. That reminds me, i must change my toothpaste. My son made his own dental appointment yesterday without prompting. My other kids would wait for me to make them an appointment. I am glad he is more self sufficient.
Need to do my accounts today. Although my input for Christmas is all done and dusted its left me very close to being overdrawn (again).
I need to organise my freezer a little better too. My son and i have been eating odds and ends out of the freezer since Monday. I'm sure my planning could be a little better.

Morning all, bbbrrrrr chilly again but dry and windy so have washed and hung out woofers bedding.
hope everyone is ok and hugs for anyone who wants one.
Hope the poorly pets are on the mend soon. Our vets charge £28 for a consultation and £18.50 for follow up appointments. Luckily woofer only has to see the vet every 4th time of getting Metacam from them .
Dd has been begging me to put the christmas tree up this weekend, I think not. Have decided not to put lights on it this year as woofer dog and his sister Betsy chase lights and I could see it getting knocked over again , think it was 4 or 5 time last year and a few of my 'expensive' crystal decs got broken:mad:
Ds3's parents evening went very well last night:j, they have said that he needs to go back to the fracture clinic about his hand though fallowing his assault in Jan he finds it very hard to write for more than about 20 mins without needing to stop and rest it for about 15-20 mins . If we get a letter detailing this then he can be given special concideration during the exams.
Chicken casserole was lovely last night, toad in the hole with mash and veggies tonight. Dd has home ec at school today and is making apple pie so will have that for pud.
Right another coffee and then I need to strip dd bed and bung that in the wm, unload dw and pop the bm on. Is my ' adoptive's mums birthday tomorrow so am attempting to make her a giant cupcake birthday cake. My icing skills are pretty rubbish tbh but its the thought that counts;). Have bought her a lovely fluffy scarf and gloves so need to wrap that and write on her cards.
Have lovely days allPaul Walker , in my dreams;)0 -

tidied , hoovered, polished downstairs
cleaned the kitchen and washed the floor
need to do the upstairs which hopefully wont take long
done my shopping list, will go shopping then swing by and pick dd2 up from school on the way back
have a good day xx0 -
Good morning everyone
Cold, wet, windy again, seems to be becoming a regular pattern this week.
Our vets only charges £18 for a consultation and we were pleasantly surprised by a bill for £65 for an implant under an anaesthetic, which included the cost of the drug.
Feel awful today, absolutely full of cold with banging headache, sore throat and swollen glands. DH is a day ahead of me with this so we can be ill together and look after each other.
Got some chicken out of the freezer for dinner but I may cook it and then freeze it again if we don't feel like much to eat. Have HM soup again for lunch, real comfort food.
No decluttering or ebay listing done last night but have already met my self imposed clutter challenge and have bags ready for Oxfam at the weekend. Am planning on major campaign in the week between Christmas and new year, have bin bags on my shopping list and I will be checking the charity shop and tip opening times.
Back to work so off I go with well wishes for sick people and pets and hugs for those who need or just want them. Have a super dayLBM 10/1/12 ~ DFW Start 6/2/12: £82,344 ~ Now Zero:staradmin:starmod::staradmin Debt free 17th April 2015 :staradmin:starmod::staradmin

morning!
thankyou to those who asked - Louie had a good night. He was very clingy during the evening so I sat on the floor with him and we snuggled up in a big fleece, he was much happier then and went to sleep. He slept ok in the kitchen in a big cage next to his mate Mig.
The vets have had over £300 off us in the last few weeks! he is insured but jabs and castration don't come under it unfortunately. Apparently the bill is so high because of the time involved under anaesthetic - it goes up for every 15 mins spent in theatre.
I'm not going to art class this morning as I want to stop at home and kee an eye on Louie so I'm decluttering, doing a shopping list and me and DS are tackling the bedroom from hell later!
Washing machine on the go - very windy here!
Time to face the music - hope you feel better soon x
have a great day all
take care xDo what you love :happyhear0
