Yes sorry about that OP. Will start another thread.0 -
a copy for the tenant, a copy for the landlord/agent and the engineer/business must keep a copy.
All certificates are valid for 12 months but must be kept for 2 years.0 -

Im taking her to court over a deposit dispute, amongst other things shes claimed we have left the house unrentable yet in her evidence photos you can see a bed, clothes and other household items. Its a joke!!!
I called the HSE today, i spoke to a lovely lady who told me that i would need a freedom of information order to obtain the info i needed. But she did tell me that there was no signature from myself and they only require one current gas certificate and this may have been done after i left.
As the landlady has not included these supposed certificates that she claims to have im hoping that it is clear that shes the liar!!!
I have had a lot of people wanting to attend court with me its certainly going to be a day to remember!!!
you may not be allowed to have lots of unconnected people in the room with you. The judge hearing the case may remove those not connected to you directly, don't forget this is a private civil matter not a public spectacle.
Just a tip, make sure you supply as much evidence as possible as the burden of proof is on you not the LL. The judge may not even allow you to use the LL's certs as evidence unless its part of the hearing. I've been to court recently and its not as daunting as you may think but don't leave any options for the LL to use as routes out of your complaint and make sure you supply her with all your evidence or it may not be heard if she objects.0 -

Whilst county court cases are often held in private (often no one else is interested other thatn the parties diretly involved), and I believe the final decision always rests with the judge (hence why I suggested the OP pre-warns the judge of the interest of others in this case), it can also be heard in public.
I think it is a fundamental basis of English Law to demonstrate right is being done by our law courts, and is also a very good opportunity for those studying or otherwise wishing to work in the law to understand just how courts operate and justice is done.

But I see, despite a request by myself and at least one other poster as to the date, time & location of the hearing, the OP has declined to answer

Small room, 4 seats each, Judge asked why and who people were.
Mine was witness for me, their's were family unconnected to case and other party admitted only there to give support. I was asked if I objected and minded their attendance.
Think you might be right so long as notice is given as you say.0 -
As much as people have expressed to be there ( most ive assumed were joking) i would not invite anyone along as it is a matter between myself and my previous landlord and one im not looking forward too!!
Just out of interest Wywth why have my other threads suggested the reason i wouldnt invite anyone?0
