In the 8 1/2 years i lives in my last home the my ex landlord only had the gas checked twice, once being because a new boiler was fitted.
I have reported this to the HSE.
I am taking her to court over a seperate issue. However in her evidence file that i recieved today she has put that we had reported her to the HSE in a nasty manner and as we had signed every certificate we have clearly lied.
She has Not included copies of the certificates in her file.
As i know these have not been done nor been signed by myself shes either lying in her evidence or shes provided fake gas certificates and forged my signature. I will be ringing the HSE first thing to find out!! But has anyone got advice on the subject??

why didnt you report it at the time, instead of waiting 8 1/2 years?0

We didnt know it was a legal requirement until we moved into our new house and was informed by the agent. Otherwise we would of made sure it was done. For our own and most importantly our two childrens safety!0

ask they for the copysDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

Not cure what advice you expect? If it goes to court and you are called as a witness then she will be unable to produce the genuine certs-not much defence to offer. No free lunch, and no free laptop0

I have never asked for a certificate or been given one...just pleased they turn up and do the job.
And they mostly park up the road away from my house, and current charge is £66 for half an hours work.
A racket.0 -
But it's a legal obligation for the LL to give you the certificate annually...No free lunch, and no free laptop0

Should be one left on site and one sent to the landlord. Do the letting agents have access?, not unusual for them to arrange the ll check and provide access and sign for the cert!0

If she has sent certificates how do i prove they are fake and that my signature is fake?0

You don't have to prove anything. No free lunch, and no free laptop0

Hello a1meewillygogs.
If I understand you correctly, you have reported your landlord to the HSE over the alleged lack of gas safety certificates from as long ago as 8-9 yrs, and you have also raised court action against the LL over an entirely different matter.
This evidence file you speak of? Presumably this relates to the court action you have initiated, and the defendant (the LL) is presumably attempting to indicate to the judge that you are either unreliable (court speak for a liar) or otherwise a vexatious litigant (court speak for a trouble maker, etc)
You will, of couse, be able to have your day in court where you can tell your side of the story to the judge, including the opportunity to discuss any disputed parts of the defendant's defence.
The judge will then decide who is probably telling the truth.
It does sound like it may be a day of fun & entertainment. Can I come along? If so, where and when is the court hearing?0
