Save saynoto0870.com in your favorites, and stop giving companies more £££ dialling 0870 numbers when you can dial freephones or cheaper alternatives.:j

Not quite, don't you mean take away 3 extra small items for price of 1 bulky item like this? It would cost me £37.20

I got a 91 year-old relative an analogue 32" CRT TV, matching stand and suitable Freeview box on Freegle for ...... well (obviously) nothing except the cost of petrol and a bit of muscle-power.
Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.

Bit dishonest to sell a TV whose picture keeps distorting, even dodgy to give it away although its only a slight distort at the bottom. Surely no-one is interested in CRT 4:3 TVs now are they?

I'd completely missed the bit about the picture distorting, but yes, people do buy crt tvs.

Put it on eBay as Spares or Repair, describe the fault honestly, and specify that it's Local Pickup Only. There's hobbyists and enthusiasts out there who want to tinker with things like this.

Even if you only get a couple of quid for it, the buyer who paid a couple of quid will happily take it away for you.
