With all my good intentions to cook as much as possible from scratch and do things a bit more os, I decided to make my own yorkshire puddings rather than going for Aunt Bessie! Well I now have loads of batter left (that I don't need for yorkies for today!) so was wondering if i mad the rest of thee batter into yorkies, would i be able to freeze them and then cook them like you do with aunt bessies??
or does anyone have any other suggestions as to what I could do with the batter rather than throw it? I prob have enough batter for the equivalent of about 8-10 yorkshire puddings (I was a bit TOO enthusiastic )
Thanks

Yep, that would work perfectly.
Or I've heard that some people eat them cold, with jam - it is just like pancake batter afterall0 -
Definately cook then freeze. I always do that so I can whip up mini roast dinners for the kids easily.
Yum, yum - now you've got me thinking about tea!Now proud Mumto3 :j0 -

Thank you! Think i'll make the extra yorkies and freeze, beause my boys (2 and 6) love them with their dinner, an it'll save me making them again!!! do you think i would need to defrost them before cooking, or could i just pop them straight in the oven like aunt bessie? sorry for all the questions, i'm a bit clueless when it come to all the basic stuff0

Pancakes - the recipe is pretty much the same.0

If you are lacking space in freezer - Pour into "apple Pie" foil thingies and then freeze the batter - use just like Bessies Batters!!

I'd do pancakes for tea, just thin it down with a bit more milk :cool:I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Old style MoneySaving boards.
